The Ivorys was started by two individuals with the same vision. As a writer, Rashaad Dixon always believed in the power of language, realizing words have the ability to evoke change and inspire actions. His wife Brittany, a photographer, shared these same feelings about photographs, and with this common belief fueling their drive, the couple set out to begin a project that combined their love for both visual and written storytelling.

The result was the creation of their brand, The Ivorys. Established in 2011 as a way to share their passion and special life moments with others, The Ivorys creates and sells merchandise, which pairs ideas and quotes the couple loves with meaningful imagery from Brittany’s camera. Whether it’s a t-shirt, tank top, hat or sweatshirt each item released has a story with a unique message.

They no longer dream and they think it’s foolish that you still do. THE NAYSAYERS, a very dangerous group. They will feed you lies in hopes to extinguish the fire that burns inside. They will keep giving you false facts until you believe. THE NAYSAYERS always talk about why things won’t work out. Never once do they try to figure things out. Avoid the Naysayers at any cost, only share your dreams with those who live life with the training wheels off.

MISTAKES BECOME TRIUMPHS

On this journey there will be struggles, set backs and mistakes. There will be trying times that will make you want to throw it all away. Keep pushing it’s all part of the process. Progress is full of mistakes as long as you don’t quit. Those mistakes will become

lessons and eventually become triumphs.

It may take awhile to get to that place but once you do, you’ll be able to keep a permanent smile on your face. Even though others may treat you bad or do you wrong, remember an eye for an eye never worked out for anyone. The key is to forgive, then simply move on. Focus on your goals and don’t project hatred towards anyone. ILL WILL TO NONE, love for all. Stay in this mind frame and the joy’s of life will be all yours.

In the beginning there may be many. Down the line there may only be a few. At some point you may look up an see it’s only you. SOLO DOLO. Don’t be afraid, don’t start to second guess, your journey is

yours alone. Sometimes going solo is for the best.
