The International Studies Certificate: Redefining the Identity of a College and its Students

Santa Fe’s adoption of an International Studies Certificate launched a campus-wide debate as to what is international. It drew faculty and administration into a creative process and encouraged the College to rethink its curriculum and, ultimately, its mission. Santa Fe College has developed a program from top-to-bottom incorporating curricular and extracurricular elements and culminating in a personalized ePortfolio which forces students to think about themselves in a broader global context.
