About the IAPLC

The International Association of Professional Life Coaches™ (IAPLC) is an organization for life coaches to list their services and for others to find a life coach. Members must meet certain criteria to be listed. We're an international professional association dedicated exclusively to the life coaching industry with membership standards based on coaching experience and client references. The IAPLC combines a premier user-friendly international online directory with group business-building activities for its members so they can grow their coaching businesses and get more clients. While there are many organizations for specific coaching training and certification, there are none for life coaches with various certifications. Of the several online directories for coaches in general, none combined a standards-based professional organization with an international directory listing. Statistics show that there are over 300,000 searches for life coaches every month. The top results for these searches are mostly organizations that offer coaches training or a listing of coaches who have taken that specific training. Most of the websites that are for finding a coach require the seeker to register and give out their email address first. Many people looking for a coach would rather look at a potential coach’s experience, background, offerings, etc. before giving out their email address. The vision of this much-needed organization has the following:

The IAPLC has been expanding and growing in 2012. Here are some of our accomplishments:

• We have doubled our membership and enbarked on several powerful group

business building activities to support and promote members.

• We published our first book, “How To Create a Rich, Successful, And Fulfilling Life,” which including tips, techniques, and exercises for making transformations from 27 of our expert life coach members.

• We also presented two telesummits “Dynamic Tools for Transformation” in

which we interviewed 27 coaches who offered powerful content to the listeners. The recordings were turned into a product that all the participants can now include in their own product line.

• We hired an expert SEO company to improve the website’s ranking so that it will

appear on the first page of principle keywords that will attract an increasing amount of traffic. This traffic will be a combination of new members and clients looking for coaching.

We will be implementing several new programs in the coming months that include:

• Master classes for members by experts in key areas of concern for life coaches • Teleclasses for the public given by various members • Monthly newsletter for members • All members will have the opportunity to be in one telesummit a year • All members can contribute a chapter in our annual compilation book • Interviews of members that they can use for marketing • Resource Page for potential clients containing members’ videos/audios

How our website Page Ranking is improving: We started out with no page ranking and in the first 4 months of our SEO program, we improved enough to get on the first page for several keywords. The chart below shows the statistics for that.

We are also starting to get traffic to the site. Visitors are spending an average of over 3 minutes on our site and viewing 4 to 5 pages per visit.


Here are those statistics:

We will be receiving the next 4-month report at the end of August, but I can tell you that we have been steadily improving the rankings and getting more traffic. As we get more members, the rankings and traffic will also improve. We will be actively marketing the association to enroll more members in the coming months and are on target to have about 200 members by the end of the year. Members are excited about the new developments as well as the increase in opportunities to have their coaching businesses promoted.
