Music at Wayzata: Civic Orchestra of Minneapolis with Diana Lee Lucker Today at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary Join us for a collaboration with the Twin Cities American Guild of Organists and soloist, Dr. Diana Lee Lucker, featuring Charles Wa, Whitman’s Trumpeter – World Premiere, Dean Hell- er, trumpet; Leonard Bernstein, Symphonic Dances from West Side Story; and Charles-Marie Widor, Symphony no 3 for Organ and Orchestra, Diana Lee Lucker, organ. Ash Wednesday Service: February 10 6:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary Wednesday, February 10 is Ash Wednesday, the day we mark as the first day of Lent, a time of reflection leading up to Easter Sunday. This Service will bring scripture to life through liturgical dance by our friends from CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory, joining creative forces with Tapestry for the evening. This visual worship will take us from the Garden Of Eden and the beginning of life, to the val- ley of dry bones full of ashes, who are brought to life through the breath of God. Lenten Study: Throughout the 6 weeks of Lent, our clergy and music ministry team will lead us in study and devotions based on lessons from Fiddler on the Roof. The Lenten Study Guide will be available at the beginning of Lent, online or in print for $15/copy. Mission in Motion Wednesday, February 10, from 4-6 p.m. in the Gym Graceland will be bursting with energy and love as the Children’s Ministry Board holds the 5th annual Mission in Motion Celebration! This hands-on Mission and service aſternoon is a way for families of all ages to join together to do God’s good work for those in need in our community and world. All are welcome! Faith Bible StudyLindy Purdy’s Faith Bible Study meets on Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the Folkestone Community Room. We are studying The Book of Mat-thew in Two Parts. Session I continues through March 17 (9 Ses-sions). All are welcome!

Summer Camp 2016Over the last 5 years the new Camp Ministry of Wayzata Community Church has shown strong and con-sistent attendance growth. In 2015 we surpassed all our available time and space at Pilgrim Point Camp. This year, we are thrilled to be enter-ing a new relationship for exclusive use of a camp called New Hope near McGregor, MN. New Hope is owned

by True Friends, a great outdoor ministry partner specializing in camp experiences to individuals with a variety of disabilities, locat-ed on the stunning, semi-private Glacier Lake. The camp is univer-sally accessible, ready to sleep up to 60 campers and staff, and set in a stunning northwoods forest.

Mission of the Month: FebruaryAgain this year, Children’s Ministries is col-lecting gently used books for literacy non-profit READ INDEED. This 501c3 nonprofit literacy organization was the vision of Maria Keller, a book-loving 8 year-old student in the Orono Schools. Maria is now 15 years old and

has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of children in ev-ery state and country in the world. Maria has passed her first goal of distributing 1 million books and is working toward the 2 million mark. Read Indeed’s mission is to promote literacy by collecting and gifting books to at-risk children. You can help deliver books to chil-dren around the world, by bringing new or slightly used books to our East or West Entrance throughout the month of February.
