(1) increasing decentralization and deregulation;

(2) revising educational goals and content;

(3) increasing the consistency of the legal, financial, ideological, and evaluation systems to respond to the earlier changes;

During the nineteen's has the following reforms been implemented:

• Changed political governing towards a decentralization;• A change agency structure with The National Agency for Education;• New national curricula and syllabi for goal- and result governing;• Changed marking system;• A three-year long program- and course based upper-secondary school;• An independent school system;• A program adult education;• Pre-school education with the educational sector;• A new school form for six-years old and a curriculum for the pre-school;

During the twenties the direction of educational policy has changed towards control and regulation.

The Evaluating state i established.

The Agency for School Development was founded 1 of March 2003 And abolished 30 of September 2008.

The 1st of October 2008 is the Swedish Schools Inspectorate established

During the twenties is quality control implemented;National tests increase in number;

International tests increase;
