    Phase I: Preliminary Submission Format

    Phase I: Preliminary Submission Guidelines for Deliverables

    Submission date: 24th

    August, 2015 23:59:59hrs The participating teams should submit their analysis on the case in a single Microsoft PowerPoint file

    Format for submiss ions:

    File naming syntax: The IB League__

    Presentation length: 10-15 slides (excluding cover page, other header pages and appendix); Appendix

    should contain a maximum of 5 slides

    Font: Arial (Minimum font size acceptable: 8)

    Relevant and exhaustive calculations and other supporting analysis should be submitted in a single

    Microsoft Excel file with tabs as necessary

    File naming syntax: The IB League_Support file__

    All submissions and queries need to be sent to [email protected] only

    The selected buyers should be publicly listed companies

    Currency used across the deliverable should be USD

    Constant FX of 1 USD = 60 INR should be used for the entire analysis; for any other FX, a constant

    rounded-off number should be used throughout the analysis

    Sources and references should be mentioned as necessary

    The preliminary analysis should include but not be limited to the following deliverables:

    Analysis of the industry and its global and Indian outlook

    Analysis on the Company and its status-quo

    Potential preliminary valuation of the Company using different valuation metrics including relative

    valuation (using trading and transaction comparables) and fundamental valuation techniques (e.g.

    DCF)

    Explanation/ justification of the underlying assumptions of valuations

    Competitive landscape of the potential buyers universe

    Appropriate strategic fit/ rationale of various buyers of the Company

    Shortlisting of buyer (s) based on rationale and potential synergies that can be generated

    Rationale for selection of companies from trading and transaction comparables (Limited to one slide in

    the appendix)
