World hunger is a staggering problem, and ending it is a complicated process. The Hunger Project aims to combat hunger and poverty through the implementation of its programs in 24,000 communities throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Hunger Project The main idea is to empower both men and women, but
especially women, as agents in their own community development. The programs start with using the women as the catalysts for getting the entire community rallied together to create a partnership with the local government.
This global movement engages people and organizations in 22 different countries across the world to come together and work on roughly 2,900 projects. These projects include empowering women and girls to be leaders in their communities, creating clean water initiatives and hydropower projects, providing adequate sanitation systems, teaching marketable skills, and providing health education.
