Over 30 million copies of Anne Frank’s diary have been sold and the

literary work has been translated into 67 languages. As a Jewish

teenager during The Holocaust, she was hidden for two years from Adolf Hitler’s plan, the “Final Solution,” to

annihilate the Jews. Her diary archives the peril her family daily

faced while in hiding. Anne Frank, at the age of 15, perished in the

Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp in 1945.

attempt to save her life.

Anne Frank is perhaps one of the most widely known

victims of The Holocaust. Many children read her

diaries, yet never realize the extensive impact that The

Holocaust had on 20th Century World History and future

generations.
