Hi Everyone,

It just seemed like yesterday that I was writing the letter for our Winter Newsletter. Where

does the time go? Lots have great things have been happening at The Hobby Horse. Our new

website is up and running. We’ve received some great comments. Over the next few months, you

will see our website grow to include new product and such. Our middle grandson, Isaac is helping us

out with the website. He understands quilting and computers too! What a great combination.

Many years ago, Alf and I always celebrated the store’s anniversary with a potluck. This

year the tradition returns and will take place on Saturday June 11th. See page 8 for more details.

For all Pie Makers out there? Do you remember when Alf gave $10 Hobby Horse Money for a

Homemade Pie and then he used it as dessert? It’s back too! It has to be homemade and be

delivered on the Saturday to Alf personally. By the way he just loves Apple Pie with Cinnamon

and Lemon Meringue too!

Our class offerings for this Summer are very eclectic. Everything from techniques to large

size quilts. Embroidery and crazy quilting have been my passion recently. Apparently, it has also

become the passion of others. We are including an Embroidery Club on Saturdays for all you gals

who cannot join us mid-week.

We are busy working on our Spring/Summer Product Newsletter. This

should be mailed out in a month or so. It will be filled with great fabrics and

patterns and some great ideas for summer projects.
