Early Film – 1950sMelodrama was the most popular type of drama in the 1950s, in the early years of the cinema. The transition from silent cinema led to the rise of actors like Marlon Brando (The Godfather – Vito Corleone), who brought more natural acting to the genre. Because of this, the 1950s was the rise of many well known actors.
