THE CHARACTER
ARC
• What’s your call to adventure? • Where are you on your
journey? • What do you think Soul Feast's
call to adventure is?
DRAWING FORTH PERSONAL VISION
• Imagine achieving a result in your life that you deeply desire. Assume that nay result you want is possible – even if your have no idea right now how to get there.
• It can involve learning something you want to learn, improving a relationship that needs work, or obtaining something that you really want.
• Imagine yourself accepting into your life the full manifestation of this result.
• Describe in writing (or sketch) the experience you have imagined, using the present tense, as if it is happening now.
DRAWING FORTH PERSONAL VISION • Guiding questions:
• What does it look like? • What does it feel like? • What words would you use to describe it?
• REFLECTION • Did you articulate a vision that is close enough to what you actually want?
• If this was hard, why was it? • Take more time to reflect on the details to create your vision • Suspend any worries, others people’s perceptions, practicality, thought of
your vision may lead to upheaval/conflict • Suspension of those thoughts reveal the ARTICULATION of your VISION/
Journey
REFINING YOUR VISION
Most people have images that are a mix of selfless and self-centered which
is normal.
Ask yourself for each vision:
• Is this something I really want or is this a manifestation of some other, more profound desire. • This exercise is meant to
probe more deeply.
Lastly ask yourself:
• If you could have it right now, would you actually take it?• Assume that you have
your vision now. What does it bring you?
CATAPULTING INTO A RICHER IMAGE OF YOUR VISION
• The point of asking these questions is not meant to denigrate your vision but to expand it.
• You may discover you want something deeper. • Example: I want a sports car.
• Why? – “I want it for the sense of freedom.” • How else could you create that sense. Is there a
deeper motivation? • Upon further reflection: “I really want freedom that
comes from having a healthy physique.” • What would that freedom enable you to do? “Run
with my kids, be attractive, play tennis, etc.” • Discovering all aspects of your vision takes TIME.
DISCOVER YOUR ADVENTURE
• Continue to reflect and investigate what your call to adventure is.
• If you are not sure or need to recalibrate, consider completing the “Drawing Forth Persona Vision” Exercise
• It works best if you can collaborate with trustworthy partner to help you process your thoughts and desires.
