The Halo Effect is the belief that people who are more attractive are treated better and more successful in society. The theory of it has been tested and proven true, but there still is not enough evidence to prove that it works with everyone.

Racial Difference leading to prejudice. Almost all time, not yet ended.

Mentally retarded, different, or diseased people are locked up. From beginning of mental institutes to early to mid sixties.

Today: People are judged more on appearance., and believed to be better and happier the more attractive they are.

The Halo Effect makes it easier for more attractive people to get jobs. On the other hand, less attractive people have a harder time getting a good job.
