The Greatest Day in My Life

The greatest day of my life was when I went to Spokane Washington. I

could clearly recall everything that happened in the previous 3 hours. I

had never flown alone, therefore I was worried and nervous, among many

other emotions, but it was a chance for a change. So I decided this was a

good chance to show my maturity by doing this flight alone. So I had my

parents take me to the Sacramento Airport with my luggage and ticket as

    I said goodbye.

As I had given my parents a hug goodbye, I went down through all the

security process of removing the shoes and socks, and other things and

putting them into a tray that went through a scanner I went into a body

scanner. At this point I put my shoes back on with my jacket also, and

headed to my first gate, B20. There I met a lady who helped me out with

information on how boarding a plane went. After, I thanked her kindly.

From there, they called my boarding group, I got onto the plane and

buckled up and waited. At this point, I felt that my nervousness was at

the highest it could get, wondering what would happen next, what was

going on now, and if I even made the right choice. While I listened to the

emergency procedures they gave, I felt anxious because I have never

flown without someone I already know.

As the plane took off, I was wrong about these two key emotions because

now I was hoping for a safe take off from this point. When I felt this planespeed up, my stomach seemed to be pushed back, and the plane was

now airborne. On my right was a lady that helped me from freaking out

until it was okay to use electronic devices, at this point I put my ear buds

in, listening to my music to help me stay calm. For the most part I was,

but there were still the thoughts of a plane crash or engine failure. But

the plane had landed on the runway with a soft landing, arriving in

Portland Oregon, completing the first half of my journey.

I looked at my ticket and read C14, my next gate. As I walked one

direction I noticed I was heading the wrong direction, stopped, and turned

around, and walked the other way. Not far ahead I saw my gate. It wastwenty past seven in the morning according to my watch, one hour before

my next flight. Since I had some time, I went down to a little stand and

got a pack of gum. Then I walked around for a while and dropped into a

seat near my gate, and waited and listened to the music I had composed

to attempt to suppress my nervousness a little. This time I sat on the

plane, buckled up, not feeling as nervous as I had on the flight before.

Upon landing, I was grateful to see my uncle waiting for me when I

arrived, safe and sound. We hugged. Then it was off to go get my luggage,

which contained all my clothing and things I needed. We headed off to my

uncle's truck and we drove to my grandpa's property. We talked about

how things had been going on since we last had seen one another. Upon

arrival at the property, I got out of the truck, gave my grandpa a hug,

and took my luggage into the house. I had finally demonstrated how

mature I had become by facing the fear of flying by myself.

The Best Day of My Life

Ring, Ring! The repetitive noise of my alarm clock went off at an

unusually early time, 5:00am. Although it was early, I was already awake.

Today we were going to Seaside Heights, and I was taking two friends

with me. I was excited. I got up, and began to get ready. I took a shower,

brushed my teeth, and put on a new set of clothes. While all this was

going on my parents were getting ready, and my friends were on their

way over to our house. Our entire luggage was stacked high next to the

front door. It was close to 6:00am when there was a knock on the door.

    My friends were here.

'Thank you for allowing them to come with us, I assure you they will be

fine', my mom said to their parents.

'Okay, call us if you need anything', their parents replied. After a shortconversation we packed the car.

When I walked out, I took a deep breath of the fresh summer air. It was

such a nice day. The weather was not scorching, but it was not oddly cold

for the summer either. It was perfect. We finally left the house at

7:00a.m. When we got into the car my parents put on the radio for us.

Since we all liked different genres of music, we could not agree on any

one station to listen to. So being teens in today's society we talked it out

and figured out the only logical solution.

'Well we all have our iPods with us right?' my friend asked.

'I have mine', my other friend replied.

'I have mine too', I said.

'Well then let's all just listen to our iPods for a little', she said.

As we listened to our iPods, the car ride began to seem endless. I know

that I saw the same trees, at least three or four times.

'Do you want to stop for a late breakfast', my dad asked.

'No thanks, we will wait till we get there', I answered.

Traffic was very bad and by this time it was already close to 9:30am. We

decided we would just wait till we get there, and have lunch. It was

probably only 30 minutes later that we pulled up to a bright blue sign with

a sun on it that said, 'Welcome to Seaside Heights'. It was even shorter

after that that we arrived at the hotel we would call home for the next

week. We unpacked our bags and moved ourselves into the room. The

room was smaller than expected but it still had a private room foreverybody. After we got situated, watched T.V. and took a quick nap it

    was probably 11:45am.

'Who wants to go for lunch?' my friend asked

'I do', my other friend and I said simultaneously.

We walked out onto the boardwalk and looked at a bunch of food places.

We finally found, or our noses finally found, I should say, a nice

restaurant that had the scent of Italian food coming out of it. My friends

both got two slices of pizza and lemonade. I ordered a sausage sandwich

with roasted peppers, fried onions, and lemonade. The food was delicious!

The sausage was fried perfectly, and the peppers were not too sweet, or

too spicy. The lemonade was so refreshing after the long drive, and walk

    to find the food place.

After we ate we walked out onto the boardwalk again. Looked at from left

to right, and then left to right again. We gazed out to the dancing water. I

cannot speak for them, but I thought of all the possible things to do and

what fun adventures were laid out ahead of us. It all hit me at once, and

this became the best day of my life.

The Best Day Of My Life

I was at my uncle's house, waiting for my mom to come back. She was picking up

my siblings from school. I was 4 yours old at the time. I was in my uncle's bedroom,

as usual. And I was talking to him, as usual.

"Will, who's stuffed animals are on the bed?" I asked curiously. Of course that was a

stupid question, but remember I was just a little girl. And I wasn't the brightest one

eithier. My uncle spun around in his spinning chair and looked at me. "Mine. Why?"

he had the nerve to ask. My uncle was the type of man that would give you the world

if he could. He even reffered to me as his own child, and spoiled the heck outta me

and my siblings. I was dying to have one of the stuffed animals. Any one. I didn't

care if it was the bunny in boxers, the frog in a king's outfit, or the other one I

strangely don't remember. I just wanted one. Even now before he died I loved it

when he gave me a stuffed animal. I have tons from him.

I couldn't say anything. I wasn't the shy type, but I've been told tons of times not to

ask anybody for anything. Plus, at that age I wasn't the best kid in the world. I was

mean to him. I threw tamtrums, screamed, and once kicked him. I even refused to

disobey him. But that story's for another time. The he asked the big question. "Do

you want one?" My eyes lit up like glitter. My eyes were like the sun when he asked

that. Blinding. "YES! I WANT ONE SO BADLY!" I yelled almost at the top of my

lungs. He didn't mind giving me one. He handed me the frog in the king outfit. I was

so happy that day. If I were allowed to I would've jumped on his bed in joy.

Later on that day I misplaced my new gift. My mom was home talking to my uncle's

parents (my uncle deicded to take care of them. Don't get the wrong idea.), my sister

was on my uncle'd bed laying down, watching tv. My brother was playing the

gamecube. I was crying. I ran up to my uncle. "WILLIAM!" I whined. I was crying

hard. I couldnt even calm down! "Why are you crying?" Will asked me, which made

me cry harder! "I LOST MY KING FROG!!" I screamed so loudly that my sister was

laughing (she can be mean sometimes)! "It's just a frog. Gosh!" My brother said

without turning around. I cried even HARDER!

"Don't cry, we'll look for him together. Listen. I hear him crying." Will was calm the

entire time. We looked everywhere and ten minutes later I found my frog under the

bed. I immedietly stopped crying and hugged my uncle. I just had to. Everyone loved

    hugging him!

Later that day, before I left, my uncle said "That frog is me watching you when your

at home." I believed him. I mean, I didn't think he was lying. I went home, happy and

excited to tell my dad the whole story.

Even now I still have that frog. I took him to puerto rico with me, and even in the car

when I was afraid of thunder and lighting. For those of you who don't know, my

uncle's dead now. He passed away on January 2011 due to heart problems. Now,

my frog is on my bed, watching me sleep peacefully. I swear that if I had to sacrifice

everything but 1 thing, I would keep that frog. I treasure that frog more then anything

in the world. I've grown attactched to him, and I promised myself that no matter how

upset I am, I'll continue to live my life. I'll try to be happy. I'll acheive my dreams and

pass school. Because I know that that's what he, the best man in the world, would

    want from me.

The Happiest Day of My Life Essay

On a holiday, I was sitting in my room after finishing my home work. As my friends

were away to hill stations, I was feeling very lonely. I watched the cars and other

vehicles passing by and wished that like my friends, I would also have been travelling

    or passing my time.

While my mind was occupied with thoughts of holidays and having fun with my

friends, the door bell rang. I ran to answer it and found the postman with a parcel

    and a letter for me.

I signed the paper and took the parcel. My hands were itching to open the packet as

my curiosity knew no bounds. I ripped the parcel open and found a beautiful tape

recorder in it. The parcel had been sent from the United States and the letter along

with it was from my uncle who had sent me that wonderful gift.

However, even more joy than receiving the tape recorder was the letter which my

uncle had written. The letter was an invitation to go to the United States for my

holidays. My uncle had arranged everything for me-the tickets and the visa, and I

    already had a passport.

My heart skipped several beats as I ran to give this great news to my mother. She was

taken aback initially and her first reaction was not so positive.

However, she thought about it, consulted my father who was at his office and they

both agreed to allow me to go to the United States to spend the rest of my holidays

    with my uncle.

I jumped from room to room and started packing my clothes, my toys, my books and

other articles that I would need on the flight and in America. My mind was filled with

various ideas about how I would spend my time with my cousins. I started dreaming

about Disney world, Universal studios, the Statue of Liberty, the Grand Canyon and

all the other tourist attractions that I had read about in magazines.

My father took me shopping the same day because he felt that I would need some

more things to take with me. We bought gifts for my cousins and my uncle and aunt

and when I came back home my cupboard was full of new clothes, shoes, gifts, etc.

Since I had not expected any such thing to happen to me, and I had been feeling

sorry for myself, this offer came as a great surprise. This was indeed the happiest day

of my life and I don't think I shall ever forget it as long as I live.
