With the changing of administrations and many of us worried

about our guns. I asked a simple question in THE gun group on Facebook, the response amazed me. I cleaned things up a bit and names have been removed to protect... everyone!

Simple question: Is there a pro-cess or website to find out what guns are registered in your name? Asking For A FRIEND!

A funny thing happened when I loaded All my guns up to go target practice and my truck sank in a sink hole....guns and ammo never to be seen again....the end

If it comes to that the second amendment was pointless !!

Maybe you need to pay more at-tention to what just was put into office.... just not only our 2nd ad-venture is at stake...but everything else is. This country is now head-ing down a deep dark path and its called socialism...please pay more attention to who is running this country now and all forms of government in this country

You think I don’t know that this guy is a f’n moron who will ruin everything this country was built on the forefathers are rolling over in their graves they knew that some day this would rear its ugly head that’s why they attempted to be safeguards in place to stop this but these people have no regard for our Constitution! To many of our citizens have become brainwashed into believing that Government is above the citizens who put them there! The people in power now consider themselves the ruling class and it is being al-lowed to stand!

If it’s an ATF Form and I don’t know the number ....it’s a govern-ment form. You buy .... there is a record. I think anyone with a FFAL .... they ask ... you send. 4473...the FFLs maintain those records

Who said that they would? You ever had to sort through a couple thousand 4473s looking for some-thing? I have...it takes weeks...and no ones doing without purpose.

Not faith...just experience actu-ally doing it. Next time you are in a gun store ask them how often they get called to pull a 4473 and how they file them...

Yes. I don’t know the process. But I worked in the U.S. government for 32 years .... I’ve first hand experience with the false in-formation it can produce. I think that is our disconnect. But it seems you have experience I don’t

I spent the last decade with DHS...

I was an agent with DoD office of special investigations. Stories .... I got millions ... deny knowledge deny responsibility make counter allegations. The way of the world almost everyday,and its a pain in the ass

They don’t get that phone call. The ATF shows up to do audits to make sure dealers are doing it right. Randomly. Unless they are tracking down a guns owner because gun was used in a crime..

They do in deed get those phone calls.

ME: Wouldn’t be nice to have two safes: a registered & not regis-tered... just Sayin!The ATF keeps your Form 4437 for 20 years if you buy from a dealer. If you sell or buy privately, they have no clue. Not sure if a citizen can find the records.

Not necessarily. I’ve bought guns and sold them to individuals. I’ve bought guns from individuals. They only know who bought the gun new.

Were all registered,...they say were not, it’s against fed. law...they got us all, they know where all legal guns are....but they still have to come, and take them !!!

There is not a gun registration as such. Federal Firearm Dealers have the 4473 forms and transfer records.

If a firearm is deployed in a crime it can be traced from the manufac-turer, to the distributor, the dealer and the transferee...

The problem that is if they find you with that lost Gun it’s bad!

Well with peer to peer sales it is very hard to prove who has what. It’s one of the reasons why they want to close the gun show loop-hole! As it stands now they can’t be sure who has what.

I think what Dennis is asking. Is there a way to find out if guns are Registered in his name that he knows nothing about.

Gun registries are illegal...a back-ground check doesn’t equal reg-istration

Every gun shop holds record of sale, the ATF only have to walk in and demand the sales reports for

however many years they want. FYI shops keep the record for 5yrs, tax purposes. ATF IS an off branch of the IRS. So they can go back even farther if they want, which is where the FBI checks come in, when they run your background check it contains your name, ad-dress, contact info, and what you are purchasing. As well as current employer at the time and emer-gency contact info. So your friends and family are involved when you purchase.

Checked with a gun dealer. All there work is done on paper. Never entered into a computer. They had years of guns sold on paper n it was stacked in a box. If Feds go snooping they will have to dig through that paperwork to find you.

All on computers now the NICS check was SUPPOSED to have the data deleted. But they saved it. So anything done with a background check can be tied to you.

Even the bullet in storage from each gun fired and the rifling in the barrel, extractor and firing pin also.

Wisconsin has no registration requirements.

ATF is “supposed” to dispose of those records after so many days. They would have to have a search warrant to get the records from FFL who has to keep them forever. That is my understanding.

Habeas corpus ... read up ... it was suspended during the Clinton administration. The feds want a warrant ... probable cause has crap to do with it

As soon as you get a Tax Stamp, welcome to the wonderful world of registration. Biden is going to make a felon of us all... if I’m go-ing to be a felon, I’m going to go all out, with all the goodies, but I sure as hell am not going to give them a way to register me.
