“ No women should die while giving life”• All types of maternal and newborn care services are
EXEMPTED from payment at all levels of health facilities
• Various government efforts exerted:
153 AMBULANCES have been procured and distributedthroughout the region, 2-3 ambulances in each district ( 35of them were procured through community contribution)

• In EFY 2005, a legal Tigray Private Health Facility Association was established to coordinate over 500 private facilities working closely with TRHB
