WHAT ARE HOAX WEBSITES??

Hoax websites are websites that are fake and give you false information.

For example: Wikipedia Which any one can edit and put their own info on.

Websites aren’t always true so you must find certain things on the websites that make them real

HOW TO FIND A HOAX WEBSITE? There are many different ways to find a hoax

website. These are some things you should look for

If there is an authorWhen was the website published Has the website been updated recently What is the purpose of the site Linked sites work properly and are up to date.

MAKE SURE THERE IS AN AUTHOR Make sure each

website you do go on that they do have a author and you can look them and can find information about the author.

If you can’t find the author, your site can be a hoax website.

CHECK THE DATE When looking at your

websites make sure the dates are currently updated.

If website is not currently updated check last day it was formatted and updated

IS SPELLING CORRECT??

Make sure when reading your information on websites make sure that all information is spelled right and makes sense.
