Hope can help us to find

refuge through tough times

and joy through every day.

• We must learn the numerous

good character that needs to

be attached to our living hope

in our Savior Jesus Christ.

Our Hope Must Be In the LORD!

• We learn through Christ that our faith

and hope should be in God! 1 Peter 1:21

• The Psalmist reveals our need to hope in

God. Ps. 31:24; 38:15

»Jesus Christ himself is our hope.

1 Timothy 1:1

»Without God we are hopeless.

Ephesians 2:12-13

»The Spirit gives us hope. Rom.15:13

We Can Hope In God’s Mercy

• God is the father of mercies! 2 Cor. 1:3

• He will be with us if we fear Him and hope

in His mercy. Psalm 33:18

• We shall praise Him and hope in His

merciful and continued help. Psalm 42:5,11

The Hope of Our Refuge!

• Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength,

a very present help in trouble. Cf. Jer. 17:17

• He is our security… Psalm 71:5; Jer. 17:7

• We hope in Him for our life. Psalm 119:116

The Hope of Our Redemption

• Jesus is our hope of redemption. 1 Cor. 1:30

• The Lord is this hope of our redemption.

Psalm 130:7

• Jesus is the hope of Israel. Jeremiah 14:8;

Acts 28:20

– For this salvation we must wait patiently!

Lamentations 3:21-26

Through God Our Hope We Have:

• Happiness… Psalm 146:5; Prov. 10:28

• Rejoicing… Romans 12:12

• Growth in spiritual maturity… Romans 5:2-5

• Hope in His word… Psalm 119:81

• Help to remember and obey… Psalm 78:7

• His promise, the hope of eternal life… Tit.1:2

Where Is Your Hope? • The God of hope wants to bless you with

these great things!

• Come and receive them today in Christ!

• Hear and believe the gospel… Rom. 10:17

– Repent of sin… Acts 2:38

• Confess Christ… Mt. 10:32

–Be baptized into Christ… Gal. 3:27;

Eph. 1:3

–Then, Be faithful… Rev. 2:10
