THE GLOBAL OFFSHORE & MARINE EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE
Offshore & Marine offers invaluable opportunities to meet key decision makers from national and international oil companies, along with all those operating across the industry eco-system.
It is where the global maritime oil and gas industry meets to plan for a sustainable future.
A major focus of the sector, which is co-located alongside ADIPEC, centers around logistics, from rig deployment, to operations, project management, to services and supplies along the value chain to the customer.
Looking at the initial stages of a project, attendees can gain insights into engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) by meeting specialists in this field.
Consultants Rystad Energy predict global spending on the offshore service sector will grow by 4% in 2019. This is, in part, due to the increasing technical innovations in offshore, which mean that previously inaccessible reserves of oil and gas can be reached.
Offshore & Marine will be showcasing break-throughs in shallow and deep water technology, including inspection, repair and maintenance equipment, diving apparatus, underwater vessels and communication devices.

OFFSHORE & MARINE SHIPS & VESSELSOcean-going technology is a vital part of the Offshore & Marine event and companies use it as a showcase to demonstrate their latest vessels, platforms and drilling equipment.
These include rigs, supply vessels, tugs and service craft, all of which play vital roles in the maritime energy sector. Decision-makers from NOCs and IOCs can get on board to witness at first-hand the sharp-end technology which enables their companies to supply the energy which powers the world.
The high profile nature of the event makes it the perfect showcase for new vessels, rigs and other marine equipment. Zakher Marine took full advantage of this opportunity last year when using it as the platform for a naming ceremony for Gladiator, the company’s new jack-up barge. Guided tours were also held on board the self-elevating, self-propelled vessel which can operate in 80 metres of water. An opportunity for owners to discuss potential partnerships, collaborations and charter contracts.
Using its six thrusters the barge can be precisely located anywhere at sea, in order to be in the right position to develop energy resources at the very start of the production process.

THE COMMERCIAL DIVE ZONE
Launched in 2018, due to the increasing number of offshore projects in the MENA region, the first of its kind in the UAE, the Commercial Dive Zone enables solution providers to showcase their undersea expertise.
This exciting feature enables global subsea and offshore solution providers to hold live demonstrations of their specialist services from rig and drilling installation, safety and operational intervention to eventual decommissioning.
Divers play a vital role in the operation and maintenance of rigs.
Work may include inspection of the seabed in order that jack-ups are safe, measurement of penetration depth for the legs of a rig, as well as the monitoring of legs where they rest on the seabed. Another vital role of the diver is the inspection and repair of underwater structural components.
Offshore & Marine offers the chance for decision makers and senior executives to witness what goes on under the waves and along the ocean floor, see the technology and the skills of those who utilise it in action.

This year, the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) will be taking a close look at the opportunities for the oil and gas industry which will come about as the Fourth Industrial Revolution fundamentally alters the way business takes place.
The combination of advanced production and operating techniques, with smart digital technology, means the value chain will be interconnected as never before – allowing data to be analysed and utilised back in the physical world in a huge number of ways - from preventing accidents to maximising distribution.
Digital innovations could add more than $1.6 trillion in value to the energy sector, according to a World Economic Forum report. Also, use of digital technologies is estimated at reducing capital expenditures by up to 20 per cent, and could cut operating costs in upstream by three to five per cent and by about half that in downstream.
From drilling wells to the petrol station, the energy industry will need to be as flexible and agile as possible to take full advatages of all that Industry 4.0 can offer.
From smart technology such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, machine learning and blockchain, to the strategic thinking which underpins moves to install technical innovations, ADIPEC will be the place where it all comes into focus and attendees will have the opportunity of a unique overview of the latest far-reaching developments, which will soon be part of everyday business operations.
NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY
Presented by ADNOC
OIL & GAS 4.0STRATEGIC CONFERENCE AT ADIPEC
14
Across the oil and gas sector, connecting the workforce with mobile devices, with unprecedented processing power, storage capacity, and access to knowledge, are enormous.
Artificial Intelligence, such as drones, is already in use throughout the industry, as vast progress has been made in recent years, driven by exponential increases in computing power and by the availability of huge amounts of data, from the monitoring of production to algorithms used to predict demand.
In the future, technological innovation will also lead to long-term gains in efficiency and productivity. Transportation and communication costs will drop, logistics and global supply chains will become more effective, and the cost of trade will diminish, all of which will open new markets and drive economic growth, especially in an industry as vital to global growth as oil and gas.
But Industry 4.0 looks set to expand beyond the limits of technology and beyond the exploitation of resources and their refining and distribution — to encompass the entire network of stakeholders, partners, regulators and on to clients and customers, while also taking on board the corporate workforce across all levels.
Organisations which can harness these myriad of opportunities are the ones that will prosper most effectively throughout the coming decades.
The huge level of industry expertise on show at ADIPEC will give attendees the opportunity to grasp and shape the Fourth Industrial Revolution and direct it toward a future that will offer the best for the ever-evolving global energy mix.
