The Global Edgers- are not just observers!

Surabhi of class VI-B observed that the street

lights in the vicinity of her house remained

on even during the day time. She couldn't

help reacting to this wastage of power.

She wrote a letter to the Commissioner of

GHMC and brought it to his notice. She

received a reply from the commissioner,

thanking her for being vigilant and bringing

it to his notice. He further promised that the

department would be careful.

We need such vigilant people in the society.

They can only bring about the much needed

change in the system.

The richness of character of

a Global Edger !

Abu Bakhar of grade VIII had put up a stall

at the Dandiya Night fete. He did some good

business there and over his expenses he made

a profit of 1315 rupees.

He decided to donate that amount to RDF

(Rural Development Foundation) to be used

to educate the underprivileged children.

Abu Bakhar's generosity is exemplary. He

has made the whole Global Edge Family

proud!!

Science Exhibition at TGES

A science exhibition 'Science Spectrum’

provided an opportunity to the Global Edgers

to bring out the innovator in them. The

weeklong event was organised by the science

department of the school.

Despite the inclement and unfavourable

weather conditions, the enthusiasm of the

students remained high. More than 200

students demonstrated scientific models and

explained the cryptic scientific terms ,

effortlessly.

The projects ranged on broad spectrum of

topics like surface tension; magnetism, acid

rain, water harvesting; digestive system,

Pascal's law, Newton's Laws, Faraday's Laws;

geology; astronomy; ascent of sap, water

recycling, water harvesting, water

conservation, etc.

The projects were judged by a jury of twenty

judges. All the projects were good and the

efforts of the students are commendable

The judges were impressed by the way the

students explained the intricate concepts and

made them seem so simple.

Field trip to a Nursery

What could be better than spending a cool

September day than strolling among flowering

plants and trees? The kindergarteners had this

pleasurable experience when they went on a

fieldtrip to a nursery.

They observed many plants and reinforced the

learning of plant classification into herbs , shrubs

and trees; climbers, twines, Creepers; annual,

biennial and perennial.

The students had a pleasurable learning

experience through this field trip.

Puzzle solving competition for the

Kindergarteners

The Kindergarteners puzzled everyone with

their puzzle solving skills in a puzzle solving

competition organized in the school.

The classrooms were very quiet, with each

student brooding over the puzzle, trying hard

to solve it as fast as possible.

White Day celebrated by Nursery

The pupils of nursery learned identifying the

colour white and it was reinforced by

observing White Day at the school. The

teachers wore white dress and the students

got white snacks to school. They even made a
