GENERAL PRESENTATION
The General Direction for Social Care and Child Protection 6th District is a public institution of local interest with responsibility in social development and welfare of the community. Our responsibility translates to vulnerable social cases identification and implementation of the social measures aiming to prevent the risk situations, to protect the under-privileged people as children in difficulty, families with problems, lonesome people, elderly people, disabled people or other people in need. At the 6-th District level the institution unfolds activities in order to achieve social policies and prevention strategies goals as well as fighting against the social risk factors, to inform and strengthen the citizens, to initiate and implement the social care programs and to bring on public or private partners working together to safeguard the children and adults in need.
Bulding and endowment day nursery “Îngerașii”
This project will be implemented trough a grant awarded by Regional
Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority Axis 10 “Improving the
educational infrastructure”, Key Area of Intervention 10.1 for “Investments in
education and training, including training, skills and lifelong learning through
the development of education and training infrastructures”.
Main objective is to grow the level of participation in the early and
compulsory education, especially for children at high risk of quickly getting out
of the educational system. This objectiv can be pun into practice by building and
establishing a structure that provides social care and early education for 124
children, no matter their sex, religion and health situation
Amongst 124 children:
62 boys
62 girls
15 children with disabilities
30 social cases
Besides the 124 children, with ages between 0 – 4 years, that will benefit
from this project, there will also be created 48 jobs for the staff who will work in the
center
•The total value of investment– 9.039.747,18 lei

Cofunding Local Budget – 88.913,16 lei
The structure of the day nursery contain:
semi-basement, ground floor and floor, with a
built area of 996 sqm and a total surface of 2624
sqm
Semi-basement will hold technical spaces,
storage rooms, laundry, kitchen, changing
rooms
Ground floor will hold 7 groups, multifunctional
dining room, medical cabinet, isolator, reception

Special equipment
ramps adapted for disabled access
solar panels for domestic hot water
The opportunity to access this grant is essential for the development of social
infrastructure, with a focus on social services, early education and special care for the
children in need.

More oportunities for parents to go back to work
More children will have access to high quality early education
The General Direction for Social Care and Child Protection 6th District already accessed
funds of Regional Operational Program to implement the project “Rehabilitation,
modernization, development and equipiing of Harap-Alb Multifunctional Center.”
In only 3 years a total of 370 children aged between 1 and 4 years receive early education
and care in “Harap Alb” Multifunctional Social Center
Also, over 1700 adults received counseling and reintegration services offered at the center
Experience
REHABILITATION, MODERNIZATION, DEVELOPMENT AND EQUIPPING OF
“HARAP-ALB” MULTIFUNCTIONAL CENTER
• 8 new jobs were created
• the space for social services was extended with: one medical office, 4 new bedrooms (12
children per room), children insulator, reception and guest room and 4 new counseling
offices
• The total value of investment– 3.997.361,96 lei (~888.302,658 euro)
• Period to implement - 18 months
The building has installation of photovoltaic
panels on the roof that feed green energy and reduces energy consumption
by 20%
