NH Fish & Game Reminder:

Don’t Feed the Deer Feeding them does more harm than good. The long-term viability of the state's deer herd is not dependent on supplemental winter feeding anywhere in New Hampshire. Feeding deer often makes them more vulnerable to aggressive interactions, predation, disease, and vehicle collisions among other things. For the long-term health of deer, the best manage-ment strategy is to keep deer dependent on their natural food and cover.

A throwback from 2013: A young deer appears to say hello through the Warfield’s window on Bois Circle.

Possible Changes in the Tax Law Might Make it Wise to

Convert your Lifestyle Contract to Continuing Care

before December 31!

Congress is considering making changes to the Medical Deduction in 2018 which may reduce or eliminate this tax deduction. But the tax benefits of purchasing a Continuing Care Contract remain in place, at least through the end of 2017. If you are consid-ering converting your Lifestyle contract to Continuing Care, you may only have the Month of December remaining to do so. Contact Ed Soucy at 366-1229 if you would like to discuss conversion options, costs and tax benefits.

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry! It’s the Holidays! Not on the roads though… Safety first, please!

Please remember that for the safety of all, our campus-wide speed limit is 19 miles per hour.

Our Grounds Crew is busy readying the roadsides for snow removal, and many folks are out enjoying walks on the last of these snow-free days.

Thanks for your help!

Marketing Focus Groups

If you moved to Taylor Community from Wolfeboro, Moultonborough, Tuftonboro, Center Harbor, Sandwich, Melvin Village, Plymouth, or in close proximity to these towns, we need your help. As an important and integral piece of our strategic planning underway, we will be holding Focus Groups to explore the many different reasons that attracted you to move to either our Back Bay Community in Wolfeboro or the main campus here in Laconia. We have scheduled three different dates in two locations in hopes that we have maximum attendance and participation.

Your experience, opinions, insights and ideas are very helpful in guiding our future plans and marketing efforts. No need to prepare. We expect these informal focus groups will be both informative and enjoyable. And all who participate will be treated to a free lunch at The Bistro! Choose the date and time that works best for you and call to RSVP at 366-1400.

Focus Groups will take place Thurs., January 4 and Tues., January 9, both at 11:00am in the Elm Room at Woodside, and on Fri., January 12 at 11:00am in the Back Bay Community House.

We look forward to hearing from you and thanks in advance for your help.

It was issued in a stand-alone hardcover edition by Random House in 1966, and it has been published in many editions and anthologies since. The largely autobio-graphical story, which takes place in the 1930s, describes a period in the lives of the seven-year-old narrator and an elderly woman who is his distant cousin and best friend. The evocative nar-rative focuses on country life, friendship, and the joy of giving during the Christmas season, and it also gently yet poignantly touches on loneliness and loss.
