pressure within a predefined and narrow pressure band. With a simple push of a button, you can remote stad and stop, load and
unload the compressor.
MULTIPLE COMPRESSOR CONTROLThe Elektronikon's Multiple Compressor Control (MCC)
centrally controls up to four compressors simultaneously.The result is a substantial reduction in system pressure

Most oroduction facilities show an air demand profile withfluctuations according to the hour ol the day, the day of theweek or the period in an economical cycle. TraditionalCompressors can notfollow preciselythe air demand.
Atlas Copco pioneered the GA V(ariable) S(peed) D(rive)
compressors, offering the capability to match perfectlycompressor capacityto air demand.
A GA VSD compressor is able to follow the fluctuatingdemand by varying the speed of its drive motor. This is thekey feature of the GA VSD compressor. They reduce theenergy consumption to a minimum by avoiding completelyUnloaded power consumption and so save up to 22% on thetotal life cycle cost.
A measurement box is used for analysis of air energyconsumption. Based on these readings, the implementationof a VSD compressor in a typical installation can be simulatedby software. Future energy savings can be estimated prior toany capital investment commitment.

The Atlas Copco VSD Advantage
Designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 certification, the GA
30-SSC range meets the industry's expectations of the highest quality
standards. All units conform with ISO 1 21 7, edJ, Annex C - 1 996 test code.
The compressor has been designed to be service friendly with direct and easy
access to all components. Wear and the need for spare parts are reduced to a
minimum.
The use of a low noise fan and modem techniques of vibro-acoustic
optimization has resulted in extremely low noise levels.
This advanced control, monitoring and communication system maximizes

Thanks to the variable speed drive technology, air demand and compressorcapacity can be perfectly matched, avoiding unloaded power consumption

The GA VSD can keep the pressure within a 10.1 bar band, resulting in even
more energy savings as every 0.5 bar reduction in delivery pressure reduces
the power consumption.
The GA VSD allows the user to choose any delivery pressure between 4 and 13
bar without any gears or belt to be changed.
The GA VSD draws no starting current peaks and has a high power factoravoiding penalties from electricity companies.
