Prevention: Pollution is caused damage, mostly by the man, into the air, water or soil, mainly affecting their health, their quality of life and the natural functioning of ecosystems, in which he lives, grows, develops, reproduces and dies.

What ROL man in relation to the protection of the environment?

The role of man is to live in constant interaction with the environment caring for physico-chemical and biological aspects such as the socio-cultural aspects. Many times in this connection between the environment and man occur natural imbalances that are uncontrollable.

Tasks that perform the organizations that protect the environment.

International organizations (The World Conservation Union, the United Nations programme for the environment and World Wildlife Fundation), unveiled a new Declaration on the global environmental emergency, by means of a document entitled caring for the Earth. This report is not only a website, but also a plan of action of practical policies to be taken and the actions that should be undertaken for the care and conservation of nature. Nine core principles to guide human action toward a future in which the community live in continuous balance with the Earth are:

1. respect and care for the community of life.

2. improve the quality of human life.

3. keep the vitality and diversity of the Earth.

4. minimize the rate of depletion of non-renewable resources.

5. staying within the carrying capacity of the Earth.

6. change attitudes and personal practices.

7. allow the communities are in charge of the care of their own environment.

8. provide an appropriate framework for the integration of development and conservation.

9. to forge a global partnership

Protection of the environment

in the mid-20th century, some people were realized that the environment was deteriorating very quickly and they pressured Governments to they provide solutions. These people called themselves environmentalists.

The animal and plant species that are threatened are protected to avoid its extinction.

Prohibits hunting or fishing and protect the places where lives and reproduces; also tries to breeding in captivity and their reintegration in the middle.

All persons must protect the environment, so personal attitudes are necessary and an appropriate authorities measures.

Pollution reduction measures are applied in different areas: personal, national or international.
