We are not alone, we live in God’s world.
We believe in God: who has created and is creating, who has come in Jesus, the Word
made flesh, to reconcile and make new, who works in us and others by the Spirit.
We trust in God. We are called to be the church: to celebrate God’s presence, to love
and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope. In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us.
We are not alone. Thanks be to God. Amen.

Prayers of the People and The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory
forever. Amen.

A Message from the Kitchen Committee
Our faithful kitchen committee would like to remind you that when using the garbage
disposal, remember to turn on the water and then run the disposal. When finished, let
the water run for a few moments having shutting off the disposal. This helps prevent the
pipes from clogging. Thank you for your attention to this matter and helping keep our
kitchen clean!

Anthem This Is My Beloved Son Choplin
Based on Hebrews 1: 1 - 10 and Matthew 17: 1 - 8
Long, long ago, the prophets spoke to ancient generations.
But in these days, God shows His ways and through the Son He’s spoken.
The Son is in God’s likeness, in glory and in brightness, in high authority.
You are my Son, beloved one, you are my first begotten.
The heavens you made, your hand has laid the very earth’s foundation.
The Son is in God’s likeness, in glory and in brightness, in high authority.
The Son, your sins has lightened, He sits upon the right hand of power and majesty.
The first begotten One, this is my high and holy Son.
On earth one day, John, Peter, James followed Him up a mountain.
Before their eyes, His face would shine with light as bright as morning.
HIs garments shone and brightened.
The disciples were so frightened, their faces on the ground.
A bright cloud overwhelmed them, a voice came forth to tell them,
“Now listen to this one, for this is my beloved Son!”
You are my Son, beloved one, you are my first begotten.
The heavens you made, your hand has laid the very earth’s foundation.
The Son is in God’s likeness, in glory and in brightness, in high authority.
The Son, your sins has lightened,
He sits upon the right hand of power and majesty.
For this is my Son, for this is my beloved Son. This is my Son.

The Receiving of the Elements of Holy Communion—Christ our Lord invites to his
table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live peace with
one another. We will receive the elements by intinction (dipping the bread into the
cup). The ushers will direct you forward to one of the stations.
Prayer After Communion
Eternal God, we give You thanks for this holy mystery in which You have given
Yourself to us. Grant that we may go into the world in the strength of Your Spirit, to
give ourselves for others, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
