The 2020 HUC budget is presented below along
with the revenue to date.
Church maintenance project for the summer of 2020:
changing the back flood light and gutters, provided
no surprises while doing so.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Howick
United Church will remain closed until September
2020. There may be a lawn church service on the
last Sunday of August, conditions depending.
The flower beds of the Howick United Church are
beautiful this year, worth stopping to see them.
Thank you Marina Steiner, Marlene Stuckey, Anita
Greig, Faith Anderson and Allyson Orr.
The Howick Catholic church was sold in June 2020
to an antic dealer ‘La Chaise Rouge’. The Parish of
Très Saint Sacrement was founded in 1885. The
catholic church was built in 1909 as designed by the
architect Arthur Godin. Originally, the French set-
tlers called the village ‘La Fourche’ being located at
the intersection of the Chateauguay and English
Rivers. (www.histoire-du-québec.ca).
The front cover picture of Howick United
Church is new, but the building has not changed
over the years. The HUC was built in 1927.
Good used summer clothing are being accepted to
take to Montreal by Mac Orr. They will be used for 2
organizations in Montreal.
The church kitchen is still in need of a new stove.
Please contact Marlene Stuckey if you can donate
one.
