1. Transportation on Arrival

1.2 Travelling by plane, at the airport
A local transportation from airport to the event venue will be provided to all registered delegates,
this includes students, teachers, registered observer, and invited guests. NSM staff will be waiting
for your arrival at the Arrival Hall of each airport, Staff will hold the signage of APT JSO as
below:
1) If you arrive at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Airport code: BKK)
After collecting your luggage, please walk out the arrival exit (but still stay inside the
building). Walk toward to the “Meeting Point”.

2. Things to Prepare Before Arrival
2.1 For Students
2.1.1 Poster Presentation Assessment:
Each team MUST prepare poster, print, and bring a poster to the registration desk
on 9th June 2019.
APT JSO organizer will provide one PP Board per team to mount poster on.
NO props, NO objects, NO documents allowed on the table nor distribute during the
assessment day.
Each team shall send the digital file of the poster in PDF. or JPEG format (low resolution)
to the organizer, by May 31st, 2019 to E-mail: [email protected].
Please make sure the file and email subject is labelled with the team’s details (country
and subject).
See Poster Display Requirements and Regulations (See Appendix 6)
2.1.2 Laboratory Skills Assessment:
Students shall have basic skill of using a compound microscope.
For station 1: Fight the bite, each team shall have at least one smartphone to take
photos.
2.1.3 Cultural Performance:
Each country shall prepare one cultural performance from your country.
Duration: 5 - 7 minutes per performance
The performance will be presented at the Cultural Night (as indicated in the program)
Feel free to bring your national dress, costumes, music file, musical instruments or items
that supports your performance and symbolize your country.
This event is for sharing cultures with a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
2.2 For Teacher
2.2.1 Knowledge Sharing Session
Teachers from each country who prefer to share an experience regarding teaching
science related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are welcome in the
Knowledge Sharing Session.
Presentation or sharing: 7 minutes per country.
Please send Title of Teacher presentation by E-mail to: [email protected];
and [email protected] by May 31st, 2019
The presentation is optional. It would be great if we can learn and sharing experience.
Sharing date: June 12, 2019 at Thailand Institute Nuclear Technology.

3. Assignment Score Guideline
3.1 Poster Presentation (Same team-same country) (20%)
1) Oral presentation for each poster
Oral presentation: 8 minutes
Questions and answers (with judges) 5 minutes
2) Each Poster will be scored on:
1. Content: link to SDGs, link to the country, link to scientific basis, and background
knowledge and Global awareness. (40 Marks)
2. Poster: layout of the poster and creativity (20 Marks)
3. Oral Presentation: Key message, usage of poster, charismatic, enthusiastic, and
answer the question with judges (40 Marks)
3.2 Laboratory skill 1 and 2 (Same team-same country) (40%)
1) Professional Conduct 20 Mark
2) Completion of Tasks/ Results and Q&A 80 Mark
Total 100 Mark
NOTE: The laboratory skills assessments will be assessed separately in each section. The
weightage for the section 1 is 20% and section 2 for 20%
3.3 Group Project presentation (Mixed team member – mixed country) (40%)
1) Oral presentation for each Project
Oral presentation: 5 minutes
Questions and answers (with judges): 5 minutes
2) Each Project will be scored on
1. Proposal: Knowledge, Global awareness, Creativity and Critical thinking
(20 Marks)
2. Presentation: accuracy of content, evident support and clear reasoning, logical
organisation, clear speech and explanation, and Answer and discussion with
Judge (80 Marks)
3) Limited material and equipment will be provide by APT JSO organizer.
Any other props, material, equipment does not allowed unless provided by organizer.

6. Reminders
PACKING
Please bring your own laptop / computer
Please bring pocket money (for individual / personal expenses)
Avoid bringing other valuable things.
Clothes (as recommended below: DRESS).
Bring a light jacket, as the temperature in venues can be cold.
Writing equipment.
Bring universal plugs and / or adaptors for electrical equipment.
Bring towels, shoes, slippers, sun-block, insect repellent, sponge bag (shampoo,
conditioner, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste), cap / sun hat and a small umbrella.
Personal belongings such as computers, wallets, money, phones, cameras, passports
will be each participants own responsibility. Participants must carry and keep these items
on their persons during the event.
HEALTH INSURANCE & MEDICAL REQUIRMENT
Each participant MUST prepare their own medical and travel insurance and it should
cover the time period during the stay in Thailand.
In case of any medical treatment required during the event in Thailand, the medical
expenses shall be at each participant’s responsibility.

Weather: June is rainy season in Thailand. The weather is usually hot and humid with
occasional thunderstorm.
Electricity: the electricity supply in Thailand operates at 220 volts AC. Bring universal
plugs and/or adaptors for your electrical equipment
Money Currency: THB (Thai Baht)
We suggest you to exchange personal pocket money into Thai Baht upon your arrival at
the airport.

Poster Display Requirements
Framed PP board 80x120 centimetres and a table will be provided for displaying a
poster, as shown in the illustration below. The size of PP board as follows:
PP Board for displaying
Width: 80 centimeters
Height from table top: 120 centimeters
Each team shall print and bring own poster before coming to the event.
Poster is allowed to display on only ONE SIDE of the panel.
NO props, NO objects, NO document on the table. Display only Poster on PP Board.
Panel with poster MUST be placed on the table provided by the organizer.
The Layout of Poster should be in “Portrait” Orientation layout as show in the picture.
Displaying photographs on the Poster
The Photos on the poster shall NOT be offensive or inappropriate, including image of
animals/humans.
Photo’s References (credit line) must be shown for photograph and image, including
from internet, magazines, newspapers, journals, and photographs, images presentations
which made by project owner.
Electronic Equipment
NO electrical devices need at the Poster Presentation.
NO electrical outlets provides at the Poster Presentation.
Other regulations
No changes or modification of the poster after the end of set-up date which will be
announced on the registration day at the event.
The Organizer will give each team a Poster number upon registration.
