St. Anthony Parish Prayer for the Week

O dear parents of the holy Child Jesus! Intercede for us parents so, that we may bring up our children in the love and fear of God and one day attain with them the Beatific Vision. Amen. —www.catholic.org

FRIENDLY REMINDER: Wells Fargo Bank has generously allowed us to use their parking area free of charge for many years. They have only asked that our parishioners not park in or around the entire drive thru area of the bank. Failure to abide by this request will result in your car being towed at your expense.

For those on our Prayer List: Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those

who believed. Amen.

If you or a loved-one is ill, please call the parish office

404 758-8861 to be added to our prayer list. You may also arrange to

CAR BREAK-IN PREVENTION TIPS:

1. Remove portable electronic devices such as smart phones, cell phones, power plugs, iPod adapters, and GPS navigation systems, including suction cup or bean bag type mounts prior to reaching your final destination where you will park the car. 2. Do not leave loose change/money in your cup holders or ash trays. Stash before not after you park. Get in the habit of putting shopping bags in the trunk right when you return to the vehicle, rather than after you park at the next location 3. Keep your car tidy with all visible personal items out of sight (i.e. empty shopping bag, backpacks, makeup bag, CD case and CDs, clothing (coats and gloves), etc.) 4. Always completely close the windows and sun-roof and lock the car even if you are just leaving the car for a few minutes 5. Get a car alarm. The noise alone may be enough to scare away an inexperienced thief and prevent the break-in. 6. Carry the registration and insurance card with you. Don't leave personal identification documents or credit cards in your vehicle.

SUPPORT THE SUNDAY SCHOOL'S COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

Throughout December, we will be collecting new hats, scarves, and gloves for the

Carrie-Steele Pitts Home. Please place your donations in the plastic containers located in

the back of the church.

Let’s Stop HIV Together Did you know…

• More than 1.2 million people in the U.S. are

living with HIV.

• Approximately 50,000 Americans become

infected with HIV every year.

• About 1 in 8 people living with HIV don’t

know they have it.

• Knowing your HIV status can give you

peace of mind …..and testing is the only way

you can know your HIV status for sure.

• If you find out you are HIV positive, you

can start taking medicine for your HIV. Get-

ting treated for HIV improves your health,

prolongs your life, and greatly lowers your

chance of spreading HIV to others.

The Health Ministry shared this information

from the CDC.

If your child is a high school senior and you would like them to appear in the 2016

St. Anthony Graduate Sunday bulletin please contact Sharon Hubbard-Belcher before

December 31, 2015. [email protected]

God, our Father, You redeemed us and made us Your children in Christ. Through Him You have

saved us from death and given us Your Divine life of grace. By becoming more like Jesus on

earth, may I come to share His glory in Heaven. Give me the peace of Your kingdom, which this

world does not give. By Your loving care, protect the good You have given me. Open my eyes to

the wonders of Your Love that I may serve You with a willing heart. O Lord Jesus Christ, who, being made subject to Mary and Joseph, didst

consecrate domestic life by Thine ineffable virtues; grant that we, with the assistance of both,

may be taught by the example of Thy Holy Family and may attain to its everlasting

fellowship. Who lives and reigns, world without end, Amen.
