Prayer To The Infant Jesus:
O Jesus, Prince of Peace and King of the Universe, you chose to humble yourself and come into the world, not as a powerful ruler, but as a helpless in-fant; grant us the grace of humility and gentleness before you and our brothers and sisters. Grant, too, O Lord, that we may always strive to achieve the vir-tue and innocence of your own Holy Childhood. In-still in us a growing faith in you, O Lord, and the strength to resist temptation in a world which so widely rejects you. Look upon us with compassion and forgive us our sins. Fill our hearts with kindness and understanding, especially for children, the aged, and those we dislike or who dislike us. O Jesus, who so loved children that you admonished us, “Unless you become like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven,” grant us a child-like faith and purity of heart. Give us the grace not only to pray fervently, but to help spread your Gos-pel by deed as well as word. Amen

Upcoming Events Prayers Please
From the New Year’s Desk of Fr. Bill
It has been a year of great adjustments in the practice of our faith. I thank you for your coop-
eration during this time of change and look forward to the future with hope that God always
provides for our needs and the needs of the Church. May God reward you for your faithful-
ness and charity as I share with you a prayer I adapted from the Rural Life Prayer Book:
Lord Jesus, we humbly pray to You to give us all a great reverence and respect for Your
Most Holy Name. Forgive us for ever having used the name of Jesus in vain or without due
respect. Help us remember how reverently and lovingly Your Mother Mary used the name Jesus, and
how humbly St. Catherine spoke of you by name. We ask You Jesus, humbly and confidently, to bless
our parish families, to bless our work and give us the rich treasures of your divine grace. May we enjoy
the gift of your protection from future dangers and storms and enjoy the blessing of your divine grace
now and forever. Peace and joy. Fr. Bill.
MHN Knights of Columbus will be co-sponsoring a scholarship blood drive, to benefit Bethany Specht on January 2, 2018, 1-7
PM in the Church basement. Your support is greatly appreciated.

St. Mary’s & Holy Name Parishes thanks everyone who helped make the Christmas Masses beautiful. From the decorations to the music and a special thank you to Father Murray for offering
the Christmas Masses at Holy Name.
MHN St. Anne’s Guild courtesy list; anyone wishing to move to the list due to age, health issues or has a phone number change
please call Ginell @ 376-2628 by December 31.
MHN, over the course of a year and through her liturgy, the Church makes present the saving event of the Lord’s passion, death and resurrection. This is demonstrated by His service to the poor and out casted. During the coming year reflect on those in our community less fortunate than us and make this a great time to share with them a donation of food. The next collection
will be the 7th of January. We are truly blessed and thank you.
Are you interested in serving at Mass in a new way? Please prayerfully consider joining our rotation for lectors, gift bearers, alter servers and Eucharistic ministers. What a great way to serve our Lord and Savior! Call or stop by your respective Recto-ry Office for more information and we can get a training schedule
created.
Interested in becoming a member of St. Mary’s Church or Holy Name Church, please call or stop by your respective Rectory
Office. Remsen @ 786-1437 or Marcus @ 376-2628.
Deadline to get information in the bulletin is Tuesday’s @ noon.
