The purpose of this is to find out the “factors

effecting students speaking skills’

development at intermediate level.

Are the students able to develop their

speaking skill inside the class room or not?

Also, this study intends to investigate the

possible factors which are involved in the

students’ inability to speak in English.

teaching English as the second language at

intermediate level.

This study intends to explore all the possible

factors that may effect students speaking

ability and skills at intermediate level.

Once conducted this research may provide

useful solutions to overcome students’

inability to speak in English language. This

study is also helpful for the student as well

as teachers including those who design the

curriculum and the text book , and those

who set the text book according to the level

of students .

This research is quantitative in nature. The data will be collected randomly from the students through close ended Questionnaires.

Population of the Study:

The population for the study is public colleges of Lahore. The target population will be 10 colleges.

My research will be conducted from first year and second year students at intermediate level in Lahore city

The data will be collected from students through :

Questionnaires

Hundred questionnaires papers will be made and to the students for the collection the data .

The Questionnaire will be divided to five domains : 1. methodology of the Instructors. 2. Students’ interests 3. Curriculum and Textbook. 4. English language teaching methods and exercises. 5. Teaching and Learning environment.

The data will be analyzed using spss software

measuring the frequency of the responses

given by the subjects of the study.
