ParentsWe highly encourage students to bring their lunchboxes with them each morning. If your child forgetstheir lunchbox, and you need to drop it off, please do so before 10:00 am. Lunchboxes dropped off by10 am to the cart in the lobby will be delivered to the table outside the cafeteria. Students will need topick up their lunchbox from there. Lunchboxes will not be delivered to the classroom, as we don’t wantto interrupt learning. If you are dropping off a lunchbox after the 10:00 am delivery, you will need toRaptor in at the front desk and walk the lunchbox down to the table outside the cafeteria.

Morning arrival volunteers neededParents, we are looking for 5 parent volunteers to help unload cars in the morning. Volunteers wouldneed to be on campus and ready to begin unloading cars at 7:40 sharp am. These volunteers would beable to park in the front visitor parking lot during arrival. Volunteers would assist staff in unloadingcars until 8:00 am. If you can be consistently there and are willing to help, please contact RebeccaFlores at [email protected] . With these volunteers we feel like we will be able to unloadmore cars each round and shorten the wait time for all car riders.

Inclement WeatherParents, we will no longer be using Remind 101 to communicate inclement weather dismissal. We willuse the same system we use for our weekly E news. If there is a need to call inclement weatherdismissal, you will receive a text and email to the primary number/email you used when you updatedInfosnap at the start of school. We did a trial run last week and it was successful, so we will be makingthis change. Please remember that we make a call at 3:00 PM. If it is just a light rain, we will do regulardismissal. Inclement weather dismissal will be called if there is lightening or a hard downpour. If badweather pops up after 3:00 (as did last Tuesday), we will hold students inside until it is safe tocontinue. See the parent/student handbook for all the details on inclement weather dismissal.

Parent/Student HandbookThe district is still nalizing this year’s KISD Elementary Parent/Student handbook. Attached to thisweek’s news is the JEE portion of the handbook for your reference. Please read the attachment for allJEE practices and procedures.
