The evolution of Library and Information Science told through the story of an academic journal: the case of BiD (1998-2014)
Is the analysis of data from an academic journal a tool for studying the evolution of the discipline?

Results
Conclusions
Keyword research shows the focus of interest in the discipline. BiD shows same trends as other LIS journals: more academic papers and fewer sections.
The number of authors per article (total/articles special section) on an upward trend. Many of the items in the period studied are signed by a single author.
The creation of a special section affected the keywords and professionalization of the journal. Keyword analysis shows constant evolution of the topics in the discipline.
