OBJECTIVES

To describe various features of next generation

mouse known as evolution mouse

To describe advantages and disadvantages of

evolution mouse over other existing mouse

Page 5: The evolution mouse by celluon

5

INRODUCTION The Evo Mouse is the

evolution of the computer

mouse

The evolution mouse is the

latest and portable device

developed by Folks from

Celluon

Page 6: The evolution mouse by celluon

6

CONTD…. Evo Mouse is a dog – shaped device that functions differently

and not like the other mouse

It works on nearly any flat surface and requires very little

space

It tracks effortlessly to your comfortable and natural

movements

7

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPUTER MOUSE

The first functional mouse

was actually demonstrated

by Douglas Engelbart in

1963

It was manufactured from

wood and featured two

gear-wheels perpendicular

to each other

Page 8: The evolution mouse by celluon

8

CONTD…. This mouse was first used

with the Xerox Alto

computer system in 1963

As can be seen by the

picture, the mouse was

much larger than today's

mouse, square, and had a

small button in the top

right corner

Page 9: The evolution mouse by celluon

9

CONTD….2) Mechanical Mouse :

Bill English, builder of

Engelbart's original mouse,

created a ball mouse in

1972

The ball mouse replaced

the external wheels with a

single ball that could rotate

in any direction

Page 10: The evolution mouse by celluon

10

CONTD….3) Optical Mouse : Optical mouse make use of one

or more light-emitting

diodes (LEDs) and an

photodiodes to detect movement

relative to the underlying surface

It is unable to detect movement

on surfaces like glass

Page 11: The evolution mouse by celluon

11

CONTD….3) Wireless Mouse :

Wireless Mouse does not consist

of any cords to connect mouse

to the PC

Cordless or wireless mice transmit

data via infrared radiation or radio

This consist of Transmitter and

Receiver part connected trough

wirelessly

12

HOW IT WORKS

It’s a mouse that allows us to use

our finger as a pointer in place of a

physical mouse. It sits right at the

position where you would usually

place a mouse, and through its two

infrared sensors that look like eyes,

it allows the usual mouse functions

Page 13: The evolution mouse by celluon

14

FUNCTIONS It performs functions such as cursor control, right-

and left-clicking, dragging and double-clicking

15

CONTD…. The Celluon Evo Mouse offers multi touch capabilities,

letting you rotate and zoom on images and scroll text

using gestures

Page 16: The evolution mouse by celluon

16

CONTD…. It also offers the handwriting recognition, which we

can do using our finger or a pen

MORE INTRESTING What’s even more interesting is that

the Evo MOUSE can be connected

wirelessly via Bluetooth or can be

wired via USB

The Evo MOUSE is a USB peripheral so

you don’t have to worry about charging

it all the time

If we choose to use it wirelessly, we

can have it running for three hours

once charged

Page 18: The evolution mouse by celluon

18

ADVANTAGES Works almost on any surface

Little space needed ( space saver )

Offers Multi-touch functionality

Works with all desktop & laptop PC

It connects via Bluetooth or a standard USB port

Page 19: The evolution mouse by celluon

19

DISADVANTAGES Evolution mouse used in wireless mode supports

only three hours battery backup

Consumption of power by two sensors is more

Page 20: The evolution mouse by celluon

20

COMPATIBILITY In terms of compatibility, it works with PCs and

laptops with ios, Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7+

versions as operating systems

Page 21: The evolution mouse by celluon

21

CONCLUSION The Evo Mouse changes the way to interact with the

computer by allowing us to use natural hand

movements and gestures in order to control the on

screen cursor

The Evo Mouse is next generation computer mouse
