PLEASE COMPLETE THE 2020 CENSUS. IT IS VITAL TO THE HEALTH OF OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR NATION!!!

The Census can shape many different aspects of our community. It helps determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and com-munities each year—including money for our non-profits, emergency services, food assistance, health care, etc. Results of the census also determine how many supervisors the City is allotted at the county level, as well as how many seats in Con-gress each state gets. It is important that EVERYONE is counted, including migrant workers, the homeless and infants.

You can respond to the 2020 Census by mail, over the phone, and for the first time—online!

Simply:

Complete and return the hard copy questionnaire via US Postal mail; OR

Call 1-844-330-2020 (1-844-468-2020 para espanol) to give your response to the US Census Bureau by phone; OR visit my2020census.gov.

You do not need your invitation or code to complete the questionnaire online; just click “I do not have my census code”.

Here’s a good video that explains how to answer online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCM0XrSynFw&

Let’s make sure our voices are heard and counted! Deacon Ed Solomon

The Ascension of the Lord

At the end of His earthly life Jesus

ascends triumphantly into heaven. The

Church acclaims Him in His

holy humanity, invited to sit on the

Father's right hand and to share His

glory. But Christ's Ascension is the

pledge of our own.

Filled with an immense hope, the Church looks up

towards her leader, who precedes her into the heavenly

home and takes her with Him in His own person: "for the Son of God, after incorporating in Himself those whom the devil's jealousy had banished from the earthly paradise, ascends again to His Father and takes them with Him" (St. Leo)

We are to get busy building God’ kingdom. His kingdom will not happen automatically.

Page 5: THE EUCHARIST · towards her leader, who precedes her into the heavenly home and takes her with Him in His own person: "for the Son of God, after incorporating in Himself those whom

Thank you for your continued support of the food collection for those less fortunate.

Please leave non-perishable foods (No glass containers, please) on the back porch of the rectory Monday-Friday from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Lawnmowers and Gardeners Needed

There is a need for volunteer lawnmowers. If you have one or two weeks late in the spring or this sum-mer that you might be able to sign up

and mow here at Church, it would be most appreci-ated. There is a lawn mower here for your use. We are also looking for gardeners. There are sign-up sheets available on the table in the back porch at the rectory, Monday thru Friday from 9 til 3, if you are able to help out with either of these tasks.

Thank you!

We remember the many brave men and women

who have given their lives through the history of

our country to protect us from danger and harm.

We salute all those who served in the military, the

police and the fire departments. We also remember all those

who sustained injury in mind and/or body in the course of their

service.

Let us pause and remember that God’s Spirit fills the

whole world, from the east to the west, from the desert to the

mountains. Blessed are You, O God, for You have given us a

share in Your life and You dwell in us and in our midst. In the

name of God our Father and Creator, and Jesus our

Brother and Savior, and the Holy Spirit Giver of Life

and Grace.
