Part 1: Read the book of Colossians, observing all the details you can about 1) the author, 2) the recipients of the letter, and 3) the relationship between the author and the recipients of the letter. (Attach additional sheets if necessary) Part 2: Read Acts 19 to learn of Paul’s time spent in Ephesus, during which the church at Colossae was likely founded. Read Colossians 1:5-7 for the one discussion of the founding of the church in Colossae. Then read Acts 28:16-31 to learn of Paul’s imprisonment in Rome when he most likely wrote the letter to the Colossians. Then reread Colossians and list the reasons Paul decided to write the letter.
