Why are we today in a CRISIS ?

We are today afflicted by

• Natural disasters:

- earthquakes

- tsunamies

- hurricanes

- vulcanos,etc and by

• Man imposed disasters:

- terrorism

- epidemics

- hunger,etc

Are we,physicians and women,also in a CRSIS ?

Menopausal women and their doctors are scared about the side

effects of HRTmainly about breast cancer

Women give up HRTand again are suffering from

incapacitating vasomotor symptoms that are not relieved

by alternative medicines …

Many Doctors fail to persuade them to go on with HRT,in

despite of telling that its benefits are far greater than any

potential risk

WHY ?

Therefore,I shall first concentrate on

- HRT and Breast Cancerand then on

- the doctor’s failure of persuation,a consequence of poor

communication skills
