As many predicted, we will leave spring and meet the middle of summer. As i am sure all of you are pleased, you can’t imagine the joy this brings to the sta! Finally our greens will get the sun and heat they need, and the range has to potential of not being the flood zone that Upper Neches and this rain keeps trying to prove! With summer arriving that means the pool will be active. We had an issue this weekend that we need your scrutiny. We had a strap to a knee board lost this last week and it entered the drain. We initially thought that our chemicals were o, but after closing the pool on Friday and checking them, we noticed that the brand new pumps were working too hard. After inspecting them Nick figured out the water wasn’t circulating and would have burnt out the pump had this not been caught. This caused 2 days of closures and a potential pump disaster. Please inform us of these situations so we can keep the pool open for the summer! Have a great week and wear sunscreen!

Around the Bay!The weather forecast is a very

encouraging site for all of us. As many predicted, we will leave spring and meet the middle of summer. As i am sure all of you are pleased, you can’t imagine the joy this brings to the staff ! With summer arriving that means the pool will be active. We had an issue this weekend that we need your scrutiny. We had a strap to a knee board lost this last week and it entered the drain. We initially thought that our chemicals were off, but after closing the pool on Friday and checking them, we noticed that the brand new pumps were working too hard. After inspecting them Nick figured out the water wasn’t circulating and would have burnt out the pump had this not been caught. This caused 2 days of closures and a potential pump disaster. THIS WEEK IN F&B!

There has been a bit of conversation by the staff about the rules that govern our Liquor License. At Emerald Bay we have a Mixed Beverage Permit. This “permit authorizes the holder to sell mixed beverages from unsealed containers and wine, beer, ale and malt liquor in containers of any

legal size for on-premise consumption.” Basically the nuts and bolts of our permit is that the containers must be unsealed, open and that the consumption must be on-site. Please be understanding with our staff as we work to serve you and protect the Club. Ian has put together a “Little Putter’s” Menu, so if you have young ones around and don’t like the options on the regular menu, be sure to ask your server for one of our kids menus.
