Infrared Waves

•Energy is felt as heat.•Toaster, Stove top, Hair

Dryers. Used in cameras/scopes for night vision.

Visible Light

•ROY G BIV= Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet

Ultraviolet

•Kills bacteria in hospitals.•Makes Vitamin D in the body=

strong bones and teeth.•Too much = skin cancer and

damage eyes.

X-rays

•Pass through human tissue to take photos of bones.

•Dark areas show cracks or cavities.

Gamma Rays

• (HHS) High Nrg, High Freq. Short wavelength.

•Can go through objects the easiest of all waves.

•Treatment for cancer•Too much=serious illness
