Good luck to those 4-Hers! The Poultry Judging Team connues to pracces as well. Shotgun Team 7th & 8th Graders (only) are eligible to shoot on the Elbert County 4-H Shotgun Team. Pracces are held on Sunday aſternoons at the Elbert County Gun Club from 2-4pm. If you are interested in joining the 2020 Shotgun Team, please get a packet from Ms. Lauren. Choose to Reuse!!! We all know how important the 3Rs arereduce, reuse and recycle! We have a new project that we will be conquering at our next Choose to Re- use Project Club Meeng aſter school at the 4-H Center on Wednesday, March 25th, unl 5:00pm. The 4-H Van will pick-up interested students at ECMS. See you there! Elberton 12-County Fair Theme Contest Each year the Elberton 12-County Fair sponsors a contest to allow an Elbert County 4-Her to WIN $50 by coming up with the theme for the fair. Theme submissions for the 2020 fair should be turned into Ms. Lauren or Ms. Sophie by April 1st. Past themes include: Small Town, Throw Down,Wagon Wheels to Ferris Wheels,Home Grown Fun,” “Grow It, Sew It, Show It.Entries repeang these themes will not be accepted. The theme should be related to the county fair or agriculture in some way. Someone will win the money, it may as well be you! Submit an entry today! Clover Craſts Join us this month to learn about the fascinang world of Pysanky! This art form is ancient. We will meet aſter school at the 4-H Center on Thursday, March 26th, unl 5pm. The 4-H van will pick up at ECMS. Cloverleaf Dance Join us on Friday, March 27th for our final Cloverleaf Dance of the Year! All 4-Hers who aend earn valuable Clover Points! Plus, the class with the highest percentage of parcipaon will earn an ice cream party! The Dance runs from 6:00-8:00pm in the Gym of the 4-H Center (Beaverdam). Admission is $5. Drinks, pizza and snacks are available for $1. 4-Hers must present their membership card. 4-H membership card replacements may be purchased at the door for 50 cents. PARENTS: Please use Filter Plant Drive to enter so we may have one-way traffic and allow for more cars off Ruckersville Road at pick-up. Please pick your child up promptly. Young Riders Horse Club If you like horses, make plans to join the Young Riders Horse Club! This aſterschool club will meet once a month at the 4-H Center to study all things horses! The 4-H Van will pick up interested students. You do NOT have to own or ride a horse to parcipate! Next Meengs: April 13th and May 11th. Strawberry Fundraiser Thank you to all the 4-H’ers who sold strawberries to help raise money for Elbert County 4-H! Karaoke Night! Join us for a fun night of Karaoke at the 4-H Center on Saturday, April 4th. Music, entertainment, dancing and supper all included for a love offering! This is a community service project for a cancer patient, so Clover Points awarded! The fun starts at 6:00pm and goes “until.”

Cloverleaf DPA Our 4-H’ers won two County Awards – Highest Percentage of Winners (1st, 2nd & 3rd Place) AND Highest Percentage of First Place Winners! Our competitors today were: Nate Albertson (Horse, 2nd Place), Noah Bell (Team Sports, 1st Place), Naomi Bernal (Art, 2nd Place), Devisha Desai (Flowers, Shrubs & Lawns, 1st Place), Zurina Dillard (Marine & Coastal Ecology, 1st Place), Trinity Duck (Horse, 1st Place), Ava Dunbrack (Horse, 3rd Place), Averie Dye (International, 1st Place), Shannon

Freeman (Poultry, 1st Place), Ki’Zora Hill (Health, 1st Place), Gracie Kidd (Performing Arts – General, 1st Place), Lexie Peardon (Performing Arts – General, Honorable Mention), Kennedy Ray (Horse, 2nd Place), Allie Stephens (Marine & Coastal Ecology, 2nd Place), Samantha Walsky (Marine & Coastal Ecology, 3rd Place) and Jalyn White (Horse, Honorable Mention). Leeah Wilson and Madison Brown were in attendance as Northeast District Board of Directors. Teen Leaders for the day were Rachel Allen, Annabelle Kidd, Haleigh Todd and Emma Williams. What a GREAT DAY!

Cloverleaf Camp Don’t forget to sign up for Summer Camp at Georgia 4-H’s most beautiful camp in the north Georgia mountains! Cloverleaf Camp is open to all 4th-6th graders. We go June 22-26. Cost is $350 and includes all activities. It will be time of your life!!! Sign up today!
