THE ECONOMY MAP

1.WORKWork refers to the many productive active population.The active population is the people who work and then, recibe money.The inactive population is the people who cannot work and they have no money.

2.THE PRIMARY SECTOR• Natural resources are obtained in the primary

sector.

3.THE SECONDARY SECTOR• Manufacturing industries transform raw materials

into manufactured products.• Consumer industries manufactured products such

as frozen vegetables.

4.THE SERVICE SECTOR• Private services are privately controlled.• Public sevices are controlled by the state or by

the local goverment.

1.THE ACTIVE POPULATION• Less than 5% work in the primary sector.• About 30% work in the secondary sector.• About 60% work in the service sector

THE PRIMARY SECTOR• There is agriculture on the plains. The livestock

farming. Fishing, mining and forestry.
