THE EASY HEBREW CORRESPONDENCE COURSE: THE ONLY LANGUAGE COURSE

WHICH WE RECOMMEND by Craig Wm. Peters

Over the past several years, we have been very blessed to partake in a Hebrew correspondence course taught by Yaffa McPherson under the direction of her husband, Ken. The name of this most excellent opportunity is the “Easy Hebrew Correspondence Course”—a unique learning experience which comes highly recommended. Firsthand exposure has shown how very effective the Easy Hebrew course is for those who hunger to learn, and we are inclined in the Spirit to share the availability and benefit of these instructive lessons. Those who are seeking hwhy in regard to learning the Hebrew language will find this course to be most advantageous in every respect.

Restoration of the Hebrew Tongue The Word of hwhy indicates there will be a resurgence in the Hebrew language in the Last Days. We believe this has come about over the past 70 years as part of the prophesied “restoration of all things.”1 And the Hebrew language movement continues to gain momentum: As hwhy pours out His Spirit upon all flesh,2 more and more believers are now seeing the importance of the Hebrew tongue and the immense spiritual benefit it provides in becoming “wise for salvation.”3

Considering the entire historic purpose of hwhy, it appears evident to us that He is restoring all of His intended purposes, as it were, in reverse:

• The greatest failure in the history of ancient Yisrael was, perhaps, King Sha’ul, while one of the greatest successes in the New Covenant was the life of Sha’ul, the emissary.4 Not only did both men have the same Hebrew name, both were

1 Acts 3:21, Zephaniah 3:9 2 Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17 3 2Timothy 3:15. We never claim knowledge of Hebrew is a requirement for salvation; however, as is quite evident from many of our studies, apart from the Hebrew language, there are gems of wisdom and understanding which can never be mined from the treasures of His Word. 4 The apostle Sha’ul.

of the tribe of Benyamin.5 While King Sha’ul opposed David, the apostle Sha’ul poured out his life and laid it down in complete service to the Son of David, the Messiah. Neither the parallels nor the contrasts between their lives are coincidental.

• As prophesied, Yisrael (Israel) was scattered among the nations for their rebellion against the Torah,6 but all of the people of Ya’acob will someday be brought back, and they will be fully restored to the Land.7

• At the tower of Babel, the language of the earth was confused,8 but when all is said and done, the one-world language (Hebrew) will be restored and the confusion will be banished.9

• All nations10 which forsook the Most High will some day be redeemed, and they will be gathered to hwhy once more.11

• The perpetual Feasts of hwhy, established in the very beginning by the Sun, the Moon, and the stars,12 have largely been usurped by pagan observances across the centuries.13 But these

In keeping with the Torah, the apostle Sha’ul rebuked former pagans for their observance of times (Galatians 4:8-11), and this is precisely what was forbidden by hwhy through Mosheh. Deuteronomy 18:10, 14, Leviticus 19:26 Observers of times were zodiac prognosticators, wizards and sorcerers! They were astrologers who prophesied falsely as they looked to evil

perpetual Feasts—kept even now by those who seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness14—will be fully restored to worldwide observance in the Messianic Age.15

• And although the Garden of Eden was lost to man in the fall,16 this will also eventually be restored, along with the Tree of Life.17

The above facts give us a greater idea about just how many things are included in what Kepha (Peter) ha’shaliach18 called “the restoration of all things.”19 As already mentioned, among the many things to be included in this restoration is the Hebrew tongue:

For then I will turn to the peoples a pure language, that they may all call

upon the Name of hwhy, to serve Him with one shoulder. Tsephanyah/Zephaniah 3:9

We believe the McPhersons’ work is certainly a part of the fulfillment of this great prophecy. Hence, we turn now to consider more details surrounding their Easy Hebrew Correspondence Course.

Highlights of the Easy Hebrew Language Course

Below are listed many of the highlights of the Easy Hebrew course, and it will be seen that a

spirits and the stars instead of looking to the One who created the stars! Isaiah 8:19 Although largely usurped by paganism across the millennia, the Appointed Times/Feasts of hwhy have always been observed by those who remained faithful to His cause, or by those who truly sought and found Him. This includes the Messiah and His followers. They all observed the Sabbath and Feasts of hwhy. Matthew 26:17, 1Corinthians 5:7-8, John 7:2-10, 14, 37-39, Acts 2:1 (“Pentecost” is actually called the Feast of Shavuoth/Weeks, Acts 20:16, 1Corinthians 16:8), Acts 13:14,42,44, 15:19-21, 16:13, 17:2, 18:1-4 14 Matthew 5:17-20, 6:10,33, Acts 24:14 15 Isaiah 2:1-4, 66:22-23, Micah 4:1-5, Nahum 1:14-15, Zechariah 14:9,16-19 16 Genesis 3:22-24 17 Isaiah 51:3, Ezekiel 36:35, Revelation 2:7, 22:2,14 18 The apostle Peter. 19 Acts 3:21. However, the things highlighted above are not exhaustive; for further details about the restoration of all things, see the Appendix (“PART 5: True Revival: the Restoration of All Things”) in the book, “Is All Meat Meet to Eat?”

number of things contribute to its being such an outstanding learning system:

• The instructor is a sincere believer in the Messiah.

• The instructor uses authentic Israeli Hebrew as well as the authentic Hebrew accent learned in the Land of Yisrael. This makes the course far better than anything which can be learned from an Anglicized instructor who does not possess an Israeli background.

• The Hebrew script lettering—used today on official forms in Israel—is the standard for the Easy Hebrew course.

• The Hebrew course work is presented in a number of booklets along with essential audio instruction via tapes or CDs. We recommend potential students choose the CD option which will allow you to boost learning by continually repeating any or all parts of a particular lesson. I enjoy listening to the CD audio portions while doing work at home, or even while driving in the car. The key to success in learning any language is continual exposure and continual practice: the CDs are a real boost in this regard.

• Spiritual lessons are drawn upon from the Hebrew language/Hebrew Scriptures, and this adds even more benefit to the course. Knowledge of Hebrew—applied directly to the Scriptures—is what every sincere believer seeks as part of the personal effort to grow in the favor and knowledge of our Messiah, the One who was/is the Word made Flesh.”20

About the Teacher Before coming to America, Yaffa McPherson grew up in Israel during the trying times of that nation’s rebirth and restoration immediately following World War II. Readers will want to study Yaffa’s autobiography as she recounts the history of those days through sometimes heart-breaking, personal trials and tragedies. It becomes clear to anyone with “ears to hear” that this dear believer was preserved and called to fulfill the eternal purposes of the Most High. I personally believe a large part of that purpose is

her teaching the Hebrew language among sincere believers in these End Times.

A Personal Testimony Part of our efforts on the IAH website21 involve sharing more truth of the Scriptures in a lifelong quest which is quite similar to that of Ezra, the scribe:

For Ezra had set his heart to seek the Torah of hwhy, and to do it, and to

teach in Yisrael statutes and ordinances. Ezra 7:10

Feeding His sheep, at any level, is not only the greatest of earthly honors, but it is also a great joy. “But how does this relate to the Hebrew language?” many will ask. Our Messiah was quite clear when teaching His followers the Torah and the Prophets would never be abolished, or lessened, by the New Covenant.22 Yet the Torah and the Prophets were originally spoken and written in Hebrew. Hence, we see the supremacy of learning the Hebrew language. Further, many of our readers will have already realized how even a small understanding of the Hebrew tongue can lead to a fuller understanding of some rather simple, yet deeply profound and amazing truths.23 While the ways of hwhy are far past finding out,24 as we learn more of the Hebrew language/Hebrew Scriptures, we also experience, firsthand, the reality of the Scripture in Proverbs:

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter

and brighter until the full day. Proverbs 4:18

There is simply no way to describe the increasing light which comes in the Spirit to those who seek to honor hwhy

25 by learning the language of Heaven. This is a blessing that is simply so great and indescribable that one must experience it

personally! Thus, we invite our readership to enroll in the course at your earliest convenience.

Summary: Accept No Substitutes From all evidence, a former student of the McPhersons has plagiarized the course and is now drumming up business by teaching Hebrew among the Evangelical world. This has resulted in a difficult financial burden being placed on the McPhersons due to loss of income which should have otherwise been theirs. Hence, we feel it is necessary to openly recommend all Messianic believers support a worthy cause being carried out by an obviously worthy, “Proverbs 31” woman:26

Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 31:31

In summary, we highly recommend the Easy Hebrew Correspondence Course for all those who are led of the Spirit to make solid, lasting progress in learning the language of Heaven.

Postscript This review of the Easy Hebrew Correspondence Course was not written based on any prompting whatsoever from the McPhersons. It was written because we were moved in the Spirit out of a sincere desire to bless any who might be led to enroll in their first-rate, Hebrew language course. The Scriptural content of the above review is only a reflection of the understanding of Craig Peters; it is not intended to be an expression of any scriptural view of the McPhersons:

They may or may not concur over our interpretation of the Scriptures seen in this review. In providing this review, we certainly aim to help these honorable believers in a cause which we hold to be a most worthy effort toward furthering the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

At the same time, it is our fullest intent to oppose the lawlessness of the plagiarism by which the McPherson’s have been victimized and against which they evidently have no recourse (due to the twisted sense of “justice” which now reigns supreme in our legal system: a “justice” which requires those who are in the right have to pay lawyers a small fortune simply to defend their cause.27) Very few people in the American society have thousands of dollars to burn in legal fees attempting to settle a dispute in which another person has violated their rights by theft/plagiarism.

We pray the rebuke of hwhy will abide upon those who have carried out such treachery, and we rest in the certainty and assurance of His unerring Word: Justice for man comes from hwhy.28
