A special thank you goes to Ben and Jerry’s for their support with this event. Two Birchwood mentors and two teens enjoyed a wintry day of fun at Camp DREAM for this year’s Teen Winter Adventure Camp. Activities included broomball and commando, the DREAM version of Capture the Flag in the woods, involving scrolls, mega-scrolls, and other epic adventure elements. Three Birchwood youth attended Winter Adventure Day at Camp DREAM. Winter Adventure Day is an annual DREAM office hosted event for DREAM youth between the ages of 8 and 12. Activities included broomball, sledding, cross- country skiing, and snowshoeing. Mentors and teens worked together to host the Champlain College Iron Chef Competition, which is a large annual fundraiser for the Birchwood DREAM Program. Mentors and teens assisted Champlain College staff in preparing dishes to be judged by the student body. This year’s winning teams, Gator Done and Fife Dog, created some delicious dishes. Due to the large snowfall in the Burlington area, DREAM was cancelled on February 8 th . Youth participated in a “Minute to Win It” style game show hosted by Birchwood co- chair, Josh Tubbs. For the final Friday of the month, teens and younger mentees divided into different
