A Social Problem

Logistics
• To bring an underprovided area into the digital world involves bridging the network gap.
• This involves creating a new network of various connections and then bridging this new network to the Internet, which is a collection of networks.
Better Ways to Spend Money
• Governments have much more pressing needs, like hunger and disease, which are immediately life threatening and should be where the majority of government funds are spent.
Lack of Desire
• In many places where Internet service is not available it is not generally desired.
• Many indigenous cultures of Latin America and Africa resent the presence of technology therefore the government has no reason to provide these people with access to the Internet and computers.
