Introduction:
The purpose of this Felicitation Program is to recognize as well as reward the main achievements
of the students who have trusted on us for making their career and have given three precious years
to us. Apart from that, there was an inauguration of ISTE Faculty and Student Chapter at the
Campus.
On 10th January, 2020, Gujarat Maritime Board Polytechnic College, Rajula organized a
Felicitation ceremony for their first Pass out Students from 2016 to 2019 to give recognition to
their commendable Academic achievements. Mr. Ayush Oak, the collector of Amreli District
consented to be the Chief Guest at this eventful occasion. His gracious presence was a true
inspiration to the students. With him, we had an eminent presence of Shri Rajesh Asati, the
honourable member secretary of Gujarat Maritime Board Education Trust, Shri M.G.Prajapati,
the District Education Officer of Amreli and Prof. Bhaskar Bhatt,
the honourable secretary of ISTE Gujarat Section. With all these dignitaries, Industrial Heads
and Principals of various schools were present on this occasion. The Staff and the students
were delighted to see many dignitaries as well as officials of various government bodies
together on single stage. The Program started with Light lamping. Shri Ayush Oak and all the
dignitaries participated in this holy process. Then after, there was Saraswati Vandana to invoke
the almighty at the beginning of this major event. “Atithi Devo Bhavah.” With this,
Shri Rajesh Asati felicited Shri Ayush Oak with memento and offered him a heartfelt floral
welcome; Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra felicited Prof. Bhaskar Bhatt;
Prof. D.V.Khakhkhar felicited Shri M.G.Prajapati; Prof. K.V.Patel felicited Shri K.S.Gadhvi; Mr.
Sachin Kamboya felicited Shri Rajesh Asati, the honourable member secretary of Gujarat
Maritime Board Education Trust. All together around 200 students were present and around 35
pass out students were felicited by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. It seemed to be a
memorable day for the parents of the Awardees. There was a video presentation about the
college journey from 2016 to 2019. Mr. Rahul Thakar and Mr. Harshil Makwana were doing the
management of the stage by anchoring.
# Welcome Speech by Principal:
The Principal was very optimistic about the event and the chief guest as well as guest of honour.
He thanked the chief guest for being present on this occasion. It was a great inspiration for these
young minds. He is always looking forward to see the college among Top 10 colleges of Gujarat.
He was satisfied to find that the students who have completed their study from GMB
Polytechnic, Rajula are at the desirable places, be it a job or be it a study.
# Speech of Shri Rajesh Asati:
Shri Rajesh Asati gave all credits to the Staff Members (teaching and non-teaching) who affixed
the fundamentals of this institute. They have put all their efforts to reach this institute at this
height. He congratulated all of them and assured his cooperation in the future as well.
He thanked all the students of the first batch who took admission in the college which did not
have its own building. But they trusted on GMB Polytechnic, Rajula and successfully completed
their Diploma from the institute. He wished for their brightest future.
# Speech of Shri Ayush Oak:
Shri Ayush Oak thanked and congratulated Gujarat Maritime Board for establishing such an
institute in a location where education especially, technical education is really required. He
hoped that this institute will become the capital of Technical Studies in nearby future. They are
doing a great job for serving at a nominal cost the region where the education and financial
background of the people is very low. It is an assistance to the government by this institute in
terms of education, according to Shri Ayush Oak.
# Speech by Prof. Bhaskar Bhatt:
Prof. Bhaskar Bhatt, the secretary of ISTE Gujarat Section explained about ISTE and its
advantages to the students. Indian Society for Technical Education is the leading National
Professional non-profit making society for the Technical Education System in our country. Its
motto is to develop the career of teachers and overall development of students. It is the only
national organization of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology. ISTE effectively
contributes to the various missions of union government. It has strength that it has technical
institute in the country. It has large group of people having 124024 Life Members, five lacks
student members, 2734 Institutional Members, 1369 Faculty Chapters, and 1479 Student
Chapters and seventeen sections at state level. It is proud moment for GMB Polytechnic, Rajula
that it has become a part of such a large governing body.
The event was earmarked with the beautiful cultural performances by the students of GMB
Polytechnic, Rajula. A remarkable Duha/Chhand performance was presented by one of our
students of the first year Computer Engineering named Mayur Shiyal along with a melodious
spiritual Raga. He owned the first position at the state level in XITIJ 2019. All the parents were
extremely delighted to be the part and parcel of this eventful occasion. The event culminated
with the hope that coming years see more and more sharing of award.
# Felicitation of First Batch Pass out students:
Shri Ayush Oak, the chief guest felicited the students of Computer Engineering with certificates.
Students were very much excited as they were recognized by the collector. Shri M.G.Prajapati
felicited the students of Mechanical Engineering; Shri Anil Sheth felicited the students of
Electrical Engineering and Prof. Bhaskar Bhatt felicited the students of Civil Engineering
# Cultural Program by Students of All Departments:
In Felicitation Program, many students from 2nd/4th/6th Semesters Have Actively Participated in
Cultural Program and delivered wonderful Performances to entertain all the Present Dignitaries
& Audience.
