takes care of plans, reservations and program for this meeting. The Committee also plans to send letters to
members who have resigned to invite them to reinstate their membership.
Scholarship: Peg Snyder reported on the pilot for 2015-16 giving five $750 scholarships to deserving female high school senior, planning education majors. and develop a slate. Voting will be at the March 2016 meeting. Additional nominations can be made from the
floor with the consent of the nominee. Absentee ballots will be available if requested.
East Central Area Council: Deb Trombino shared that the October 27th
ECAC Conference theme is “Women’s
Wellness” and will be held at Club 86 in Geneva from 5:00-8:00pm. Jacquie Johnson will be one of the guest

Dinner Reservation Forms are due October 16.
Unfinished Business: none
New Business:
Audit Report: Linda Coons and Sally Maxson found the books July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 of
Omega Chapter in order. President Harvey thanked Sally Maxson for assisting in the absence of Phyllis
Frantel.
Table Discussion Reports and Vote: Mary Cherniss led discussion of the results of Table Discussions
and asked for vote report. There were 21 in favor of elimination of March 2017 meeting, 10 to continue and 5
abstain for more information. The dues increase for 2016-17 of $2 from current $73 to $75 was supported
unanimously. Since the reason given for the suggested elimination of the March meeting was low attendance,
Mary King will provide a 10-yr. history of attendance at March meetings in November. It was decided that
formal action on both proposals would occur at the November Meeting since there is no Chapter Meeting in
October.
Pin and Nametag Money: The Executive Committee voted in August to increase the Pink Pig and
Nametag money to $.50 each. This is a pilot year and will start in November.
November Auction: Susan Cunningham reminded all present to “Make It, Bake It or Fake It” for our
scholarship fundraiser on November 17th
at Club 86, Geneva. She has already started collecting donations. She
encouraged members to make a donation to the Scholarship Fund if they are not able to attend the auction. It
was suggested that we have a tag sale table for gently used or unwanted new items.
Pink Pig: Jan Astles supplied the gift.
Adjournment: President Mary-Martha Harvey adjoined the meeting at 7:25pm.
The Delta Kappa Gamma Song was shared by all.
COMMITTEE MEETINGS: President Harvey distributed report forms to Chairs and asked for reports to be
returned this evening or by 25 September. Omega Committees met to summarize last years’ work and to set
goals for 2015-16. Reports will be posted to website and included in Omega newsletters.

DKG International Headquarters in Austin, Texas
Flooded on 10.30.15 Thank you to Della Ludwig for sharing this news.
“Austin saw 14 inches of rain in two hours last Friday. We sent people home from the office early since roads were
flooding rapidly. Unfortunately, ankle deep water flooded the Boardroom and supply room on the first floor. We were
fortunate to get a crew to come in Friday evening. Workers vacuumed water and moved things out of the supply room
until 2:30 am.
We're closing the office Monday except for me and administrators. The servers were down until yesterday
afternoon. If you sent things by email and they bounced back, that's why.
Hope to start moving things back and get staff back in Tuesday.”
