• In the film industry there are many genres such as action, romance, horror and comedy how ever The Dark Night is a action film. You can tell this by all fast paced fighting, shooting and driving.

Representation

• Batman is seen as a heroic symbol and usually gets the job done, but he can also be seen a villain in his jet black costume (resembling a bat)

• The Joker is a villain who will go to any lengths to show that the world is as crazy as him, his costume is more casual then The Batman but his make up makes up for his lack of intimidation after all many people are scared of clowns and bats.

• This film is aimed at people all ages starting from the age of 12 and onwards seeing as it was batman’s 70th year anniversary in 2009 so batman is 72, also it would be more popular in males.

Narrative

• Batman is seen as a hero when the world needs him but when people start dying because of him being in a mask he becomes and outcast. People turning on him and blaming him for the death of others. In the end batman takes on the name as a killer to protect another persons reputation, in the end you see him fleeing the police but you can see he will never so doing what’s right.
