OTHER CONSIDERATIONS TO BEING READY TO TRANSFER

– How to become an AS-T or AA-T student
– Is your ADT accepted at your chosen CSU?

– Some campuses may consider "lower division" transfer applicants
• Have you reviewed your coursework audit in "Degree Works"
in your MyHancock portal and met with a counselor to plan ahead and
determine when you will be ready to transfer?
• Are there any lower division major courses that are required
for admissions or that you must complete prior to transfer?
WHEN TO APPLY
• For fall 2021 admission:
October 1 to November 30, 2020
• Application Fee: $70 per school
– A fee waiver is available and embedded into
application.
– Your responses in the "Personal Information"
quadrant under the "Financial" section,
will determine your eligibility.
DOCUMENTS TO HAVE READY:
To complete the application, you will need the following:
• Unofficial transcripts from every college and university you have attended and AP scores if applicable.
• Your Social Security number (if you have one)
• Your citizenship status
• ID numbers:
– Statewide Student ID (SSID)--located on HS transcript—can be left blank.
– AHC Student ID
• Annual Income
– For your parents if you are a dependent
– For yourself if you are independent (Not sure if you are independent? See next slide)
• A method of payment (credit card or PayPal)
– Not needed if eligible for the fee waiver (the application will let you know if you are)
• EOP Applicants: Your parents’ employment background and info for (2) recommenders (their name and email address—at least one must be a school official such as teacher/counselor)
IMPORTANT STEPSSTEP I: Meet with a counselor to determine you are eligible to
apply.
STEP 2: Attend an application workshop and complete
application.
STEP 3: Call the UTC at ext. 3363 to schedule an application
review appointment.
STEP 4: Submit application by November 30th.*
STEP 5: Check your email regularly and stay in touch with the
University Transfer Center and/or your AHC Counselor during
application process.
*We strongly recommend submitting by Nov. 15 or no later than third week
of November as the system usually experiences significant slow-processing
time in the last week of the filing period.

ADD PROGRAMS (MAJORS)• Programs available are based on info reported on Extended
Profile
• Will only see programs that are open at time of application
• Use the Application "Dates and Deadline" page to see who is
accepting applications and what the deadlines are.
• You must select at least one program to begin your application.
You may add additional program form the "Add Program"
tab at any time before the submission or before the deadline.
• Programs with a Source of Extended Education are offered
by Extended and Continuing Education on each campus.
(Separate/easier admission but more costly tuition).

• Entering grades:

– Academic Renewal – "AR" for grade
– Enter withdrawals and non-transferable courses as well
– If currently repeating a course, must enter original grade
– Will use ASSIST data for entry of CCC Courses
– If course is not connected to ASSIST but is transferable, be sure to
check transferable box to calculate accurate transfer GPA.
