CATHOLIC SCHOOL
MATTERS!

grader Paulo vonSchulenburg a hug.
"Happiness can only be achieved
by looking inward and
learning to enjoy whatever life has,
and this requires transforming
greed into gratitude."
— St. John Chrysostom
Lent can be a time of great happiness on campus at The Atonement Academy. It is a pleasure to witness the students’ joy at denying themselves a treat, providing food for the hungry, or reaching out to help others in ways large and small. As our gaze shifts toward God this season, we cannot help but grow spiritually.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!
On Friday, March 10, our Varsity Tennis
team played for the first time at the Do-
minion Invitational. This is a highly com-
petitive event, as both private and pub-
lic high schools from across the State of
Texas competed for the titles. We com-
peted with tenured teams from Health
Careers, Antonian, Boerne, Champion,
Taft, Clark, and many others.
Coach Victor Martinez lead the team
through inclement weather as well as
venue and format changes. We had
some great participation in both Varsity
and Junior Varsity from our ladies doubles
and singles as well and varsity mixed dou-
bles.
Most notably, sophomore Elizabeth Kolke-
beck won the Varsity singles consolation
bracket. Elizabeth played matches
against girls from Antonian, Champions
High School and Clarke High School. She
played five matches throughout the day,
culminating with a grueling 2-hour-long
Finals match where she had to fight hard
to come back from a 4-7 game deficit
(the matches were 8-game Pro-sets) ulti-
mately winning 5 straight games to win
the Finals match: 9-7 taking 1st Place in
the Consolation - Grade "A" Girls Singles
Division. Appreciation is given to Coach
Martinez, who guided and supported Eliz-
abeth throughout the event.
The team appreciates all the support
from their parents and teachers.

Our Lady of the Atonement was established on 15 August 1983 and it is the founding parish for the Anglican Use in the Catholic Church. The liturgy reflects the Anglican heritage of the parish, and it is an approved liturgical use of the Roman Catholic Church. In addition to our Anglican Use liturgy in English, we offer the Ordinary Form of the Holy Mass in Latin as an expression of our traditional Catholic faith and as a ministry to the wider archdiocesan family. Of course, the most important thing we do as a parish is to offer worthy worship to Al-mighty God. Sunday Masses are at 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 6:00 p.m. Mass is offered each weekday at 7:00 a.m. and at 9:15 a.m. The Mass on Saturday morning is offered at 10:00 a.m. with the rosary and confessions immediately following.
