So, when is this due?•You will have all hour to work on this,

researching and creating your slides. Your complete slides are due TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER, 23rd before class begins. We will not spend time in class working on it.

•This might mean that some/all group members will need to finish/add to their slides over the weekend and/or Monday night. Work this out and please be ready to present.

How will we present?

•You will complete your slides and I will share the presentation, as I would any other PowerPoint/slideshow presentation, for the class.

•You will be responsible for having your slides ready on the day we present, and taking notes during the presentation.

One more thing about researching…

•Narrow your searches•Be specific•You will get more/better information if

you use key words, rather than whole questions.

•For example, instead of writing out “what is the connection between the crucible to modern day?” you could just input “crucible modern day”

•We all know that Wikipedia is usually the first thing to come up, and we all use it from time to time… But please do not use it for this.

How can you tell if an Internet site is reliable?

• REMEMBER: Anyone can post information on the Internet! • Make sure the information you are using comes from a

person or organization that can be trusted.

• One simple way to tell if a site is reliable is to look at who runs the site. Usually, looking at the first section of a web address will tell you where it came from. If it came from a museum, university, large organization, or some other place you’ve heard of, chances are that it can be trusted.
