Once upon a time, there was a little baby boy name John. John was born into a middle class family. His parents were so proud to have a bouncing baby boy.

As a baby, John became very attached to his mom and dad because he saw them everyday. When his dad came home from work John would smile when he heard his dad’s voice. But John was afraid of strangers.

John grew and grew. He went to a private daycare for his preschool years. While there he would draw pictures of his happy family and I love mommy cards. John loved to draw.

In elementary school, John was good at showing his emotions. If he was happy, he would smile. If he was sad, he would frown. If he was angry, he would cross his arms and pout.

John made A’s and B’s throughout elementary. He was on the Principal’s List and made A and B Honor Roll. He was friendly to all his classmates and got along well with his teacher.

John’s family moved to a different county before John started middle school. So John lost all of his old friends and had to make new friends in school. John became a loner.

In middle school, John became angry with the students and began to act out in school. He showed signs of aggression towards the students and teachers. His grades went from A’s and B’s to C’s and D’s.

John’s parents were confused about his new behavior. His mom let him talk with a counselor to see if she could help him sort out his emotions. Later that evening, his mom talked to him. She found out that he did not feel like anyone loved him and had some problems adjusting to the new school and county. He even told her that he want to commit suicide.

His mom was stunned. They had given John a great life. He had lots of love and material gifts. But John explained that he felt like he was letting his parents down and not meeting their expectations of him.Both his parents told John how much they loved him and was very proud of him. Each day they would tell John that they loved him and give him a big hug.

John continued to see the counselor once a week for six weeks. At his final counselor session, John had overcome his aggression and thoughts of suicide. He knew that his parents loved him very much and did not want to do anything to harm himself. Years later, John is in high school and doing just fine. He has overcome his aggression and is living happily ever after.
