Analysis of trailers • The movie trailer that I am analysing is Rush Hour 2. The movies genre is action comedy. The

trailer itself is quite fast pace because of the type of genres which is action and means there is lots of action where there are weapons, guns, large buildings and explosions. There is a voiceover where there is also the characters voices too. The languages which are used in this film are English and Chinese. The music used in the trailer is different sorts as there are range of it used but is quick with changing scenes at the same time as this all matches up together with the scenes and music together. The clothes that the characters are wearing are mainly suits and this shows that they are very smartly dressed and this shows that there are serious situations in the movie as they are police officers in the movie trying to sort a problem out. There are many camera shots in this trailer such as close ups of the main characters and the objects which are being used in the movie. There is high angles with establishing shots of the buildings and the setting where the movie is set at to show the different locations the movie is shot in. each of the shots used are very fast as the pace of the trailer is fast which matches the genre as it is an action comedy movie which makes it seem more exciting for the audience to want to watch the movie. Each of the shots is within 3 seconds or 5 seconds the most. There is lots of editing and lighting in the trailer as each of the scenes change into another in non-chronological order. Each of the scenes have lots of action such fighting, shooting, talking and lots of more. When there is lighting, the main characters are shown in the trailer when the lighting is changed every time for each other main characters. Everything is done in speed to show how exciting and interesting the movie is so this gets the audience attracted towards the trailer and want to watch the movie just by looking at all the action and the comedy which is in the trailer as just by watching the trailer, they know there is plenty more action and comedy when they actually watch the trailer. In the trailer, the main characters of the movie are famous and well known so this excites the audience even more and want to watch as they have seen other movies of these characters and may want to see the movie just because of the characters too. The trailer is set in a big city as they give a establishing shot and this might show the audience that there will be lots of big things happening in the movie so it they must watch the movie. It is structured in non-chronological order by having different scenes and making them a cliff hangers by not showing what will happen next so the audience wants to know desperately what happens in each of the scenes.

Analysis of film postersThe women in this movie is a blonde women which is one of those typical blondes that is a beauty and is found attractive. The woman's nails are painted in red nail varnish which shows to the movie to be a romantic movie because this red stands out and shows there will be love in the movie. The woman is wearing round hoops to show that she cares about what she wears and is shown that she has made an effort.

This tagline stands out as it is bold in black and makes this is the first thing which the audience gets attracted towards. The text has numbers which are in green because it represented the teens and the jealousy of other characters in the film. The numbers are used as a certification to the movie showing this aims towards teenagers mainly. A rhetorical question is used therefore to question the audience so to make the audience think about this and want to go and see the movie. This gets the audience thinking about what could go on in the movie too. The face of this character shows that he looks confused, worried, shocked and surprised because of the text above shows that he is expressing what he says and it gives an idea to the audience of what the story might be and his eyebrows are raised which shows that this refers to the text above. The guy of this movie is represented as a normal guy who dresses casually wearing a T-shirt which shows that the guy himself doesn’t really make a effort in what he wears which is why this refers to the tagline above as he is rated such a low 5 and she is rated such a high 10. he is represented quite normally because of his hair too as it is not brushed neatly but is messy.

The title of the movie is very easy and simple. It is straight forward and tells the audience about what the basic storyline is. The background of this movie poster is very simple and plain to show that this story has a basic plot about a guy and woman. The image which is used is of the woman kissing the guy on the cheek is to show that this story is about them too mainly and the image is really big and stands out to the audience to attract the viewers of what the movie wants the audience to see.The release date is at the bottom of the film poster to make it the last thing the viewers see and will remember this as it is the last thing the audience will see of the poster.
